CHAPTER 25

" What do you find important about the closer gates? " Asked Ruth out of curiosity.

She was astonished at how Martin defended the closer gates on the fact that she stated the name Magdalene which shocked everyone.

" Do you know Magdalene is my grandmother?" Asked Ruth again out of curiosity.

Although she did not want to think much about those curious questions.

" Yes I do. I have heard much about her but I have never know much about what I have heard or seen her" said Martin hesitantly.

He had truly lied to her. Every information about Magdalene contrasted from one person to another.

"It's alright dear. I had asked Lady Akeshia to prepare for you a warm bath which I think is ready. Remember you haven't showered today love. I wonder how you have the courage to face those guests of yours in such an unexpected manner" said Ruth smiling..

He wanted to tease him and although it made him furious, he still did not want to show it to Ruth.

Ruth helped him to unbutton his clothes. He therefore helped him to Put on his bath towel and escorted him to the bathroom.

Martin locked the bathroom after he signalled Ruth to leave. He did not like to be taken care of. Ruth noticed his reaction and did not want to be bothered about him anymore.

She decided to look for Haggai. She was already fond of him who had nice stories. Haggai was still guarding at the closer gates.

He lent Ruth his chair so that she could sit in.

" I love your adventures stories. Please tell me more about it. I have spent most of my times thinking about them" said Ruth smiling.

" What kind of story would you like to hear? I am sure that I exhausted all of my stories the last time I accompanied you to your specific places. Don't you think your husband will get mad at me if he hears that you are not in your matrimonial room? The news is all over the place that your husband does not want you to leave your matrimonial room. Don't you have any idea about it?" Asked Haggai out of curiosity.

" I haven't any idea. My husband does not tell me of the rules makes about me outside my matrimonial room. He knows that I won't spare him for that" said Ruth as an assurance to Martin that everything was alright.

" What kind of story do you want to hear today?"

" Why is that place where prisoners are taken called the ce of hell? Does it have something to do with the cell of hell?" Asked Ruth who was confused at the moment.

She was thinking about a lot of things in mind.

" Cell of hell was once started by an old woman Magdalene who dissapeared without a trace. It's not clear about what really happened to her. Although some say that she not only appears on their dreams but also on real situations as well. People say that she is the judge who often gives verdict at the cell of hell" said Haggai a bit hesitantly.

This was because no one at the closed gates was allowed to speak about such things. If caught , they were thrown out of the closed gates and it was believed that death took them away.

Ruth was astonished by all the myths and misconceptions about the closed gates. She had never heard about such things.

She wholeheartedly kept listening about Haggai. And thus time she did not explain to Lady Akeshia about her whereabouts.

MARRIED AT SIXTEEN.
