CHAPTER 49

Lady Ruby helped Tere to pack. Tere left together with her son but Purist could still watch them from a distance crying .She had already began to be fond of her own mother. She just found it hard to believe that her own mother was indeed going to leave. Before  Tere shut the door behind her, she turned around and looked at Martin who was standing beside Magdalene. 

" Today you have made me naked in public. You have revealed my nakedness before the public. Wait for your turn to come , I will not only reveal your nakedness but I will also curse you. I hate you Martin. I hate the day that I actually became your wife and then I did realize that I was in love with someone else. I hate totally everything about you. I would rather leave the closer gates gates than spend the rest of my remaining life as a beggar who has nine lives" said Tere crying. 

" Just go! A beggar you will stay for your remaining lifestyle. You know very well that that is usually the penalty for anybody who has tried to commit murder. Just go" Saud Martin who signalled to Tere to leave. 

It was then that it dawned on Martin that he had not seen Ruth for a while. He started looking for Ruth but guessed that Ruth had been in their matrimonial room. Martin found Ruth crying as she lied on top of the bed .

" What is it Ruth?" Asked Martin in a pellucid voice. 

" I can't do this anymore Martin. Because of the verdict you have declared upon Tere had caused my mother daughter relationship with Purist ruined. She does not really want anything to do with me. I hardly do not know what else to do" said Ruth without looking at Martin. 

She never wanted their relationship ruined. 

" Lady Akeshia! Lady Akeshia. Summon Purist right away here at our matrimonial room" Martin ordered Lady Akeshia. 

Purist came as fast as she could. She found Martin looking at the window. She knew that when Martin looked at the window for a longer time it really meant that he was angry with something. 

" Papa! You called for me " said Purist a bit tensed. 

" Yes Purist . Have a sit my daughter" said Martin in a pellucid voice. 

Purist obidiently sat on top of the bed but kept looking at Ruth in an angry manner. She turned all her attention towards Martin who was clearing his thoughts. 

" My small mama! I called you here so that we could have a conversation as a family. I know that you are aware of the fact of what has happened to our family. Your mother wanted to kill Ruth . I know of how much you love......" Said Martin in a pellucid voice but Purist interrupted her. 

" Not anymore Papa. Because of her my mama has been sent out of this house and now she is going to live like a beggar. I can't accept to be away from Papa anymore. Just let me go papa" said Purist crying 

" No! No one else is going to leave this house . You will stay here and learn to accept that that this is indeed your new family. You have no other family than this family of ours. Do you get us? I hope you do. You can go back to your room" said Martin angrily. 

Purist left devastated. Ruth was in mixed emotions. She did not really know what to do. 

" My love, I really miss my mama. Would you allow me to atleast stay with my mama for a little while? I do miss her so much. It's been long since she came to visit" said Ruth crying. 

" I will request for your mother's visit but I will not allow you to you to leave the closer gates"

" Why? Why can't I really leave the closer gates? Am I now a prisoner? Am I now like the people in the closer gates? Why should I be compared to them? Stop this please. I want to go and seey mother"

" I will not allow you to leave this closer gates. I would rather take you there to visit your mother and come back with me. Is that agreed?" Said Martin with a lot of emphasis. 

" Do you still stick to that? Do you still stick to the fact that I might still be in love with Rodgers? He is my past Martin. I respect my marriage more than anything in the world and I cannot really go against the marriage that you and I have. I love you so much Martin" said Ruth as she pecked Martin and left. 

She went downstairs to look for get grandmother Magdalene. She had already began to be really fond of her which was something out of the odds. She had not really known the real story of her excistence. She did not find Magdalene anywhere. 

She had the thought of going at the balcony but the memories of her being thrown down came into her mind and she immediately collapsed. 

Lady Nana who had already Put Purist to sleep came downstairs and immediately started screaming as soon as she saw Ruth lying down.  

 Martin went downstairs as soon as she could. Martin was surprised to see that Ruth was lying down on the floor. Martin quickly took her upstairs and tried to do some first aid on her. 

Ruth immediately woke up .

" Do not do this to me evet again Ruth .I will die if I see you die. I love you so much Ruth .I love you so much my love. Do not ever doubt that" said Martin as she hugged Ruth so tightly .

Ruth hugged Martin back. Ruth kept crying in his arms. Martin watched them from a distance. She envird how much they had loved one another. It was very unique and unexpected. It was indeed real bond that she would use a lot of energy to break. Even if it meant using all her witchcrafts.
