CHAPTER 48
After Ruth escorted Martin to their matrimonial room, she therefore went to the kitchen accompanied by Lady Akeshia and Purist who was fond of watching her cook.
She asked Lady Akeshia to prepare all the Ingredients.
Martin remained in the room calm. He still did not believe that Magdalene had spoken to him like that yet he was the owner of the mansion.
Before Ruth could finish cooking, Magdalene entered the kitchen and requested to have a talk with her. Magdalene led Ruth to the study. She therefore ordered Ruth to sit down.
" Have you been going to school?" Asked Magdalene filled with lots of curiosity.
Ruth was silent for a while wondering why Magdalene decided to ask her such a question.
" No grandma. But I was to go soon since my husband and I had got a school. Two days ago we went to buy my school uniform which went on successful. Everything is alright grandma. You should not worry. I am going to school very soon"
" Why did you decide to get married?"
" Everybody does everything for their family. I had to do this for my family too. I had to get married in order to save my own family from poverty before I knew that I had a grandma like you yet it's all changed now. I love my husband Martin very much and I will fight for my marriage till the end. I will not let anyone ruin whatever Martin and I have started" said Ruth in a pellucid voice.
A weird smile gripped her face. She was truly in love with Martin and was not willing to loose him at any cost.
" I don't like. You have to make and end of it. You are still a minor. You have to make an end to this marriage relationship" said Magdalene .
" No grandma Magdalene. I love my husband very much and I will not leave him at any cost. I am prepared to fight for him whatever it really takes. I love him extremely much and I am prepared to fight for him no matter how much it takes" shouted Ruth at Magdalene.
It was then that Ruth realized she had been shouting at Magdalene. Her face was now looking apologetic. But there was nothing she could do after shouting at her. Magdalene silently signalled her to leave.
She never spoke whenever she felt angry. Ruth went back to the kitchen and found out that Lady Akeshia had already prepared the meal. She got angry and left the kitchen . She went to the balcony and found Tere seated there weaving. It's what she used to do when she was still at the mansion before Martin declared the verdict for her to go at the cell of hell.
" What do you want?" Asked Tere.
Tere thought that Ruth had gone ahead to tease her. Ruth silently felt the sun sparkling and hitting her body. Ruth felt in goid and high spirits not until Tere stopped her.
" This is my territory young lady. Not a place for you to entertain yourself. The whole world is truly aware about this and nobody like you will have to ruin that for me" said Tere as she pushed Ruth till she was about to fall from the balcony.
" Stop! Why do you hate me so much Tere? It's not my fault that we love each other . I love Martin and I am prepared to fight for him till the end. I will indeed fight for him no matter how long it takes. I am not ready to loose my family at any time"
"Are you not ready to loose your family or you are here to squander all the money that is in place?"
" There is no problem if I squander. This is my grandma's place. She bought this land. If I squander money, I know that I am squandering my own money. Nothing then makes me feel good than to squander my own money. Get that in mind. You are just here for a season and no important reason" said Ruth laughing annoyingly.
Tere tried to push her down the balcony till Ruth remained hanging on the rail. Tere left as quickly as she could. Ruth kept screaming for help . People on the ground started looking at her filled with lots of worry.
Martin came as fast as he could and decided to help her. Although Ruth was already tired, Martin still managed to bring her on top. Martin angrily called for a family meeting.
" This is my house and I make the rules. Lady Ruby, help Tere to pack her clothes and take to the beggars center. That is the rule that usually applies to those who have been charged with attempted murder. You will beg for you and your son and you will be considered as an outcast. Nobody would want anything to do with you. Get out" shouted Martin angrily.
Magdalene did not contradict on this since this involved her own family. Her own granddaughter's life was in danger. Something really has to be done as soon as possible.
" Get out as they have said. You need to really leave this place. You are murderer like any other. I hate you for being a murderer. Get out" shouted Magdalene at her.
Purist who had been watching from a corner really got angry by that. She immediately went to her room. Ruth followed her. She tried to calm her down but Purist went and hid under the bed. She decided to leave the room in order to give Purist sometime for herself. Ruth knew that it was the right thing to do.
She went to her room and locked herself up. She was filled with lots of anger. She was angry not only to herself but also to others. It was really a sad moment to her.
RUTH'S POV.
I wish the cell of hell never opened maybe it would have been good for everyone. I hate all this said.
Ruth lied on top of the bed and fell asleep.
