CHAPTER 66
After a short while, Martin dismissed Purist from the cage since she was beginning to be addicted to the snakes.
Martin carried Purist to the car and laid her at the back seat to sleep. He therefore opened the glinding door of the front car and assisted Ruth in . He drove back to the closer gates. He found the mansion empty. There was no trace of Akeshia or Naomi or Magdalene.
He took Purist to her room and escorted Ruth upstairs who kept resisting.
" I am not going anywhere without my mother or grandmother. I should be with them no matter what. I must find out where they are" said Ruth who went quickly downstairs.
She was surprised to find Faith seated in the garden. A few weeks ago, she found Faith in the same situation and the worst happened. She was stabbed and if it would have hit her her heart then she would have bled to death.
Despite that, she still decided to approach Faith. Faith just looked at her and smiled. The same thing that had happened before.
" What! What do you want? I know that you remember what happened to you. You seem so scared , just get out of here" said Faith who kept shouting at Ruth.
" Yes I am leaving my garden but there is one thing I must ask you. Where is our mothers and my grandmother? We haven't seen them since we arrived and the mansion is too silent" said Ruth hesitantly.
Faith instead looked at Ruth and left. Ruth was astonished by her strange behavior. It was coming clear that Faith was experiencing some mental problems.
Ruth went to Magdalene's room and found out that three of them were sleeping in the floor. As much as she tried to wake them up , nobody responded to her. She started feeling sone pains on her leison but tried to resist them inorder to face the problem that was facing her.
Before she could try anything, she saw Faith entering the room carrying a cup on her hand.
" Well darling! You finally found them. I have just sent Martin on an errand and now I have to deal with you much more tough than the way I stabbed you. Drink this! Drink this and forget the beautiful times that you have been together. Drink this! " Shouted Faith as she pointed a gun at Ruth.
Ruth had no choice than to drink it. Faith carried her secretly to the boot of her car and drive off.
Immediately she drove off, Akeshia, Naomi and Magdalene finally woke up. Unfortunately, Ruth had dropped get handkerchief. Naomi could have recognized it since she was the one who had bought the handkerchief for Ruth the first time she came to the house to see Ruth when she was wounded. This proved to them that Ruth was indeed in the Room but they did not understand the main reason why she left. They started looking for her all over the mansion but she was nowhere to be found.
Martin arrived just at that time. Faith had requested him to buy for her cheese at a nearby restaurant.
" What then comes out? Why are startled here? Stop looking at me like that. Aren't you happy that you have the power of the closer gates grandma Magdalene?" Asked Martin.
He said all this inorder to mock Magdalene but she seemed worried and not paying Amy attention to Martin.
Martin therefore tried to put some music to draw their attention. They all looked at him angrily.
" Your wife and sister are missing. Don't you know where they are? They have been missing for sometime now" said Lady Akeshia.
Martin dropped the cheese he was carrying. He immediately went to his car and left. He drove quickly out of town as if he knew where Faith was taking Ruth.
Still looking for them on the roadside or any where cars were parked, he unfortunately saw Faith's car. He parked his car at a distance and went inside the car but did not find Faith.
He called out for faith everywhere but there was no trace of her. He kept looking around and luckily saw an abandoned house. He slowly went there and peeped through the window. He was astonished to see Faith tied on a chair and Ruth trying to escape from someone. They guy looked like Rodgers .
He tried to enter in but he couldn't since there were a lot of traps on the door.
" You don't have to do this Rodgers . You have to move on and understand that I am someone's wife. Don't you get me. I can never be yours no matter how hard you try" shouted Ruth at Rodgers.
" What! You were mine first. I am so lucky that I managed to trick faith and taught her the tips to get you to me. Now you and Faith will live here like a pig. This will be your cage as long you do not co operate with me" shouted Rodgers as he finally got hold of Ruth.
He pushed Ruth closer to him but the moment he tried to kiss her , he saw the image of Martin. He slowly tied Ruth and untied Faith but still cellotaped her mouth.
He went outside holding a gun on Faith head while instructing Ruth to move according to them. He saw Martin and did not hesitate instead he yelled out a very annoying laugh.
This made Martin more furious. He tried to come close but Rodgers threatened to shoot Faith so this made him to retrieve.
He led them to Faith's car and instructed them to enter the car.
" Martin! I wanted you to see how I am taking your wife away. That is the main reason why I instructed Faith to park her car at the roadside. Goodbye Martin" said Rodgers who entered the car and drove off.
Martin quickly followed them. He did not want to loose a trace on a single of them . Unluckily, Rodgers stopped looking at the door and kelt looking at Martin's car.
This made Rodgers to loose control and his car finally fell on some woods. A smile was seen on the front of the car. This made Martin to shiver.
What if something bad had happened to Faith and Ruth?
The place where they were was the place where cars hardly moved around. Martin struggled to open the glinding door of the car. He assisted Faith out and carried Ruth out. He untied them and carried the both of them to the back of the car.
" Help Rodgers. You need to help him Martin" said Ruth in a hoarse voice who finally feel on the seat of the car.
Martin forcefully went to help Rodgers and put him on his car as well. He drove off. They were so lucky that the moment they drove off, the car finally exploded.
Martin drove as fast as he could .He wanted to rush them to the hospital. He knew that they would receive proper treatment there.
As soon as he arrived the hospital, the doctors and nurses came to help out and took the three of them to the operation room.
Martin informed Akeshia , Naomi and Magdalene who were on their way to the hospital. They arrived as soon as they could.
Magdalene found it hard to calm down. She had loved Ruth above everything else. She knew that Ruth was the one who would take over the closer gates as soon as she was gone from the phase of the earth.
" Explain what happened Martin. How did you find them? I hope Faith did not do anything to hurt my granddaughter" said Magdalene.
This made Akeshia sad. Why would Magdalene think if Ruth's health instead of Faith? Or maybe it was the other way round. Naomi was the real daughter of Magdalene.
" I think Faith needs us now ma. Forget about everybody else" said Akeshia who was trying to draw Magdalene's attention away from Ruth.
" Faith went into a comma but her colleague Ruth is out of danger. It's so sad about the gentleman who was with them. He did not make it. Anyone who knows his family to please help me contact them. They need to come and identify his body before we proceed on taking it to the morgue" said the doctor.
" Can I see my grandmother Ruth? I am glad that she is out of danger" said Magdalene as the doctor nodded his head.
" Ma! Faith is in a terrible condition. Forget about those who are in good health. Come! Let's go and check on Faith. I still cannot believe that my own daughter is in a comma. It's really hurting ma. I still don't understand why she did all the things she had to do" Magdalene changed her mind and went to check on Faith.
It was a critical choice for her as the one she was concerned about was Ruth.
Magdalene was truly in a confused state.
She was hurt when she saw Faith in the terrible condition at the intensive care unit.
