CHAPTER 61
Faith left the room so that the mother daughter could bond. Naomi sat on the chair which was next to Ruth. She could stop crying.
" You must tell me who did this to you. If your husband fails to investigate this, I will report this to chief. Anybody who had tried to murder you must have had a valid reason. Had you quarreled with anyone? Did you deeply offend anyone? Was it Tere?" Said Naomi filled with mixed emotions.
" It wasn't Tere. You know very well that I cannot even hurt a fly mum. How would I argue or quarrel with anyone? Mama! The investigations are still going on and soon we will know the main culprit" said Ruth who felt she had convinced her mother that everything would be alright soon.
Naomi insisted that she would remain in the mansion till she found the person who tried to stab Ruth. Ruth found it hard to convince her to leave. She seemed astonished by Naomi's decision. She did not expect Naomi to say that.
" Lady Akeshia will have to take me to the guest room. I will go get her since my luggages are still outside" said Naomi.
" No mama. You cannot approach Lady Akeshia"
" And why not?"
" Because Lady Akeshia is Martin's mother. A lot of things have happened here at the mansion mama. Before you came, we had held a party to welcome her back to the mansion. Please go back home. I will inform you once the culprit has been caught mama" said Ruth hesitantly.
Ruth knew that once Naomi had decided everything no one could be able to change her mind. No one would turn her. If Martin failed on the investigation, then Naomi would have no choice but to do the investigation on her own.
Naomi ordered Lady Ruby to take the luggages to the guest room. She had not seen Magdalene around which astonished her more. She helped Ruth upstairs and they all went to Magdalene's room.
They were both astonished to find out that Magdalene had already woken up. They had no idea that she had ordered to have a conversation with Lady Akeshia.
" You need to rest grandma. Your blood pressure might go high again and I don't know what I would do without you. This could not have happened if indeed they did not send you to the cell of hell. You might had been strong and healthy till now" said Ruth who for once stood and went close to the window but Naomi pushed the wheelchair towards her and ordered her to sit.
" Shut up! It's time for me take and take back what belongs to me. The closer gates" said Magdalene.

At this time when things were all going wrong.
How could Magdalene have made such a decision?
Such a cruel decision.
Ruth nodded her head in disagreement.
As soon as Lady Akeshia arrived. Magdalene ordered Naomi and Ruth to leave. Magdalene locked the door and requested Lady Akeshia to sit on the couch since they had a lot of things to discuss about.
" Playtime is over Lady Akeshia. Tupfer your husband is no more. Why do you walk in fear? Why can't you accept your children now? Do you know why Martin slapped you? Because you couldn't tell him a simple truth about himself. You couldn't tell him that you were his mother" said Magdalene.
She wanted to piss off Lady Akeshia but Lady Akeshia did not get pissed off. She instead smiled at Magdalene which irritated her.
" Do not get too much irritated mother. Why did you allow the marriage between Ruth and Martin to take place yet they are relatives" said Lady Akeshia filled with lots of curiosity.
" It's time for you to know the truth. Naomi is not my real daughter. She has always thought so, but she is not my real daughter. She is my adopted daughter" said Magdalene smiling.
Lady Akeshia widened her eyes in disbelief. How could she not know this? She was tje eldest and she saw her mother pregnant with Naomi.
" Mama! How can Naomi not be your daughter? I thought she was your daughter. Do you know how it will hurt?"
" I am not planning on telling her the truth. She should not know that you are my daughter. In the eyes if the world she is my daughter but in my heart you are my daughter" said Magdalene laughing annoyingly.
Lady Akeshia was silent. She now kept wondering why Martin refused her to leave the closer gates.
Did he have an idea of the truth?
Was anything wrong with him?
She vowed not to ask Magdalene since she knew that it would land her in a more deeper trouble.
Within a jiffy, Naomi came back to the room. She had already laid Ruth to rest. She was eager to know and under Magdalene's next plans.
" Welcome back Naomi. Lady Akeshia and I were discussing how we would rule the closer gates without any family member beimg hurt. My lovely daughter. Do you have any idea" asked Magdalene.
" Mama!.....mama! The idea I have is not really a good idea. I suggest you leave things to continue working the way they were. If you decide to take over, a lot of jobs will be lost. People will be forced to go back to their hometowns . The closer gates will be left with nothing since people still have the misconception that you are a witch" said Naomi.
Magdalene swiftly slapped Naomi filled with lots of anger. She ordered Naomi to be silent.
" No one has that power. No one goes against what I say. I will bewitch them if they leave the closer gates .I will cast a genuine spell on them and none of them will have the idea of leaving the closer gates" said Magdalene angrily.
Naomi looked at Magdalene mercilessly as tears welled down her eyes .
" Let's focus on finding out who stabbed Ruth first. Let's focus on the investigation and ensure that the person is sent to the cell of hell for proper prosecution" said Naomi.
Naomi seemed terrified by the whole situation.
