Tere regretted for being ruthless and inhuman to Ruth. She felt that she should go and apologize to Ruth and return everything to her before it was too late.

The next morning seemed unusual since neither did Ruth woke up to go to school nor Naomi hesitated to wake her up. Tere had already taken Purist to school and came back home. She tried to knock on their rooms but nobody responded. She immediately requested Nana to give her the spare keys to open the rooms.

Surprisingly, there was nobody present in their rooms. All their closets were empty. This meant that they had ran away from the closer gates. Tere ran towards the study to inform Martin of the sad news.

" Martin! Promise me that if I tell you something you will try and control yourself" said Tere in a pellucid.

Martin nodded his head in agreement.

" Grandma Magdalene, Ruth and Naomi are nowhere to be found. All their closets are empty. This means that they have ran away from the closer gates" said Naomi.

" What! I married that girl and paid a lot of money for her .That lady is Purist's pride and I know this will hurt Purist deeply much. I know where they live and I am going to their place right now" Said Martin angrily.

" I will accompany you" said Tere.

" I am accompanying both of you too" said Akeshia who had been listening to their conversation.

They all entered the car and Martin drove at a very high speed. He arrived at their place less than four hours of which if driven slowly then it took Seven hours. Martin quickly got out of the car and knocked on the door but no one responded. They stayed there for almost thirty minutes but nobody responded. Martin decided to peep through the window and was astonished to find that the house was empty. Luckily, he saw one of the neighbours passing by. He called out on her.

" Where is the family that lives in this compound?" Asked Martin filled with lots of curiosity.

" Are you her husband? Are you the people who tried to kill them? They sold their things and left this town. They said their life was in danger and swore never to come back again" said the neighbour.

" Is that so? Did they tell you what happened?"

" Not really Sir. They never told us what happened to them. Can I go please?" Said The neighbour as Martin nodded her head.

Of course Martin had to let the neighbour go. Martin entered the car, wore his cape and cried tears of pain. He knew that the news would hurt Purist once she came back from school. She had bonded so much with Ruth even though she had formed some hatred after she heard that Ruth had tried to poison her.

" What have you found out Martin?" Asked Akeshia who was filled with lots of curiosity.

" You people accompanied me here and that is enough. You do not need to know anything apart from the fact that I have just been told that Ruth decided to leave town" said Martin who switched on the engine of the car and drove off.

Martin was silent throughout the journey. He passed by Purist's school to pick up Purist since it was already evening.

" I think we should take our meal in the hotel today. We are not in a good mood and it might be recognized as soon as we enter the closer gates" said Akeshia.

" No one is eating at the hotel. We will all eat at our mansion but count me out since I will not be taking any meals today" said Martin who went on silent mode once again.

He drove faster till he reached the mansion. He took Purist's arm and led her to the mansion. Martin therefore asked Lady Nana to assist Purist to change her school uniform into her home gowns.

" But Papa, I want Ruth to help me. After that we will go to the study and discuss about my homework" said Purist who felt it was a good idea .

" Purist! You do not have to think about Ruth anymore since Ruth, Magdalene and Naomi have left the mansion. They have left this town and swore never to come back" said Martin in a sad tone.

" But why Papa? Why did Ruth leave even without telling me? Did I mean that much in her life? Why did she not atleast bid me goodbye?" Asked Purist.

She was indeed sad that Ruth had left and furthermore, Ruth had left before biding her goodbye .

" Change into your home gowns and I will tell you everything" said Martin who left to the study.

" I do not need anyone to help me change my school uniform. I am a grown up girl and I can do it for myself" said Purist who left to her room.

Those were the exact things that Ruth used to tell Purist whenever Purist needded to be helped to change her school uniform. Purist entered her room and locked the door. She went into her bed and slept but was suddenly woken up by a piece of paper which was on top of her bed as she turned the other side of the bed. Purist took the paper and started reading out once she found out that it was from Ruth.

" Dear daughter

I never wanted to leave you but circumstances have forced me too. My life has been in danger so many times because of your mother Tere that is why I decided that I would not dare to stay there any longer. I hope that you will be fine but make sure that you do not turn out like your mother. Make sure that you never listen to whatever she says because she is not a good mother. The child she has is not a boy rather the child is a girl. You must make sure that you unveil this secret before it's too late. I love you Purist.

Your Lovely

Ruth Bora"

Purist sat there for a while filled with lots of boredom. This was because she did not understand the letter very well. Yet she knew that she needed to find out if indeed the baby that Tere had was a girl. Ruth changed into her gown and joined Martin in the study.

" Are you alright Purist? I don't want you to be sad anymore" said Martin smiling.

" No Papa. I am not sad any longer since Ruth has already left and there is nothing I can do to change that. Can we not speak about Ruth anymore? I need to do my homework" said Ruth who started doing her homework.

Martin was astonished by Ruth's sudden change of behaviour. Tere who had been watching her from a distance decided to bring for her a cup of coffee.

" No Tere. I do not want coffee and if I wanted coffee,  I would have gone to the kitchen and made it like the way my mama Ruth taught me" sad Ruth in a pellucid voice.

" please take this coffee Purist . Your dear mother made it with whole of her heart" said Tere who tried to make Ruth drink coffee.

" I said I do not want coffee. You just ruined my evening Tere" shouted Purist at Tere who took her books and left to her room.

Tere was astonished by Purist's sudden change of behaviour. Purist had never shouted at her since Purist had always admired and cherished her as the woman who gave birth to her. Tere closed her eyes and began to cry. Martin tried to comfort Tere.

" Today Purist has hurt me more than I have ever been hurt. She has never treated me like her mother no matter how much I tried to please her. Haven't I always been a caring mother? Why then would my own daughter speak to me in such a way that I am a stranger to her? You saw everything Martin. She did not even want to look at me on the face" said Tere crying.

" Why would she change? I do not see any reason why she would change against you. There is something wrong somewhere but I will find out and fix it up before the worst happens in this house" Said Martin .

Tere felt it was useless lying on Martin's arm. She stood up and left as she drank all the coffee on the way. She went to the kitchen and washed all the dirty utensils. Tere therefore started chopping all the vegetables as she felt someone's arm immediately stopping her.

" Tere! You do not have to do this work unless you want to be a maiden. Your hands are so fragile just for your baby" said Purist .

Tere turned behind her and was surprised to find out that it was Purist. Did Purist hate her that much? Only the next day's would tell.

MARRIED AT SIXTEEN.
