CHAPTER 129
Purist left too as soon as Martin left since she did not want to have any conversation with Ruth anymore. Ruth on the other hand tried to pursuade Ruth but she failed since Purist dissappeared among the people who were standing there.
Ruth went back to where Ryan was standing and hugged him. This was because Ryan was still astonished at how Martin had been defeated. The worst part of it all was that the market women were the ones who defeated Martin which had never happened before in any community.
" Today we have been able to learn that even women can become men. We have been able to understand that women can be warriors just like the people of Olam town have always believed. Thank you so much Riziki and your team. I will never forget you for this unexpected thing which has happened today" said Ruth smiling.
" Ruth! We only....." Said Riziki but Ruth suddenly interrupted.
" I will urge everybody to go back to their homes after they have drank the supposed water. We need to rest after this war since we are expecting a much bigger war than this. This time we will not allow Martin to trick us. Tomorrow we will begin making other new weapons" said Ruth in a commanding manner.
The people of Mambo town immediately left at that instant to their homes. Ryan and Ruth remained standing as they watched them leave.
" Why are you too controlling?" Ryan asked Ruth smiling.
" I got this attitude after being controlled for such a long period of time by Martin and Tere. Shall we? Mama and grandma must be waiting for feedback from us" said Ruth who held Ryan's arm and led him back to the house.
They were astonished to find out that the house was opened as soon as they arrived yet they left the house locked from the outside and urged Nelly to lock from the inside. Ruth was astonished to find Magdalene lying on the floor in a pool of blood as soon as she arrived. Nelly was wonded on her arm and lying helpless on the floor. Vivan and Lawrence were nowhere to be found.
" Grandma! Where is mama?" Asked Ruth who went towards Magdalene and sat beside her as she helped her to raise her head.
" Martin has tricked you. Vivian and Lawrence are working for him. Martin's men have held Naomi captive" said Magdalene in a hoarse voice.
Vivian and Lawrence arrived at the house at that instant carrying items they had bought from the market. They immediately went to the kitchen and started arranging the items they had bought. Ryan followed them and angrily hit Lawrence on his nose which made him to start nose bleeding.
" What do you think you are doing? Why don't you take your sister and grandma-in-law to the hospital? Their health is much more important than us" shouted Vivian at Ryan.
It was then that it dawned on Ryan that both Nelly and Magdalene had lost consciousness. He immediately contacted the nearest hospital . The ambulance arrived in a few minutes and took Magdalene and Nelly to the hospital.
" Ruth! Ensure that you come back soon and wipe this blood off the floor. It's really disgusting and yet it is not even chicken blood" shouted Vivian as Ruth left in the ambulance inorder to accompany Magdalene to the hospital.
Both Magdalene and Nelly were rushed to the emergency room as soon as they arrived at the hospital. Ryan and Ruth were urged to wait at the doctor's office since Ryan was still the leader of Mambo town and respected as well.
" I wonder how my mama is doing. We shouldn't have initiated this war because I have always know Martin as a trickster. How was his men able to reach our house? None of them surpassed us during the war" said Ruth to Ryan as they entered the doctor's office.
" I understand how you feel Ruth. I know that all you need to do right now is to go to the closer gates and find your mother" said Ryan a bit worried.
Faith who had escorted the market women to the market heard about everything that happened and immediately rushed to the hospital. She arrived at the hospital and was informed by the hospital receptionist that Ryan and Ruth were at the doctor's office.
She arrived there and found Ruth still crying as soon as she entered.
" Mama has been held captive by Martin. I am in a state of dilemma because I do not know what I should do. My grandma needs me because I should be there when she wakes up and my mama also needs me because I have no idea of what Martin is going to do to her. What should I do now? Maybe I should leave this town once my grandma get's well" said Ruth as tears welled down her eyes.
Faith was also affected by the whole situation. She did not know what to do in order to help Ruth. She knew that she would not dare go to the closer gates to save Naomi since if she was caught by Martin then Tere would convince Martin to send her to the cell of hell.
" Tell me what to do. It is finished. I am finished" shouted Ruth kneeling down as tears welled down her eyes.
" How about you go to the closer gates and find out what is happening there? I am sure that Ryan will not hesitate but escort you there. I will remain behind and wait for the results of Nelly and grandma then take care of them" said Faith smiling.
" No! Ryan does not have to go with me. He should stay here and take care of Nelly while you take care of grandma as soon as they are out of the emergency room. I will be the one to go and no one between the two of you should go against my decision" said Ruth who hugged both Ryan and Faith then left.
As soon as she came out of the hospital, she was astonished to see her car parked outside. Her car which had been stolen the first day that she came to Mambo town. She went towards the car and was astonished to find out that there was no one outside. Ruth entered the car and drove off without caring to find out the person who had stolen the car from her.
She immediately left the boundaries of mambo town and went to the closer gates. It took her ten hours to arrive at the closer gates since her car kept having punctures. As soon as she arrived, Ruth found out that the gate was heavily guarded. Ruth was astonished to see Haggai roaming around the gate of the closer gates filled with lots of anger.
She got out of her car and went towards him. Ruth patted him on his back which made Haggai to yell but later on got angry as soon as he realized that it was Ruth.
" What are you doing here Haggai?" Asked Ruth filled with lots of curiosity.
" What are you doing here? I thought that Martin warn the war and was able to take you home with him. That is the main reason I came here since I knew that Tere would have been heartbroken but now that I have seen you, it seems opposite" said Haggai.
" Yes it's the opposite because we won the war but I have come here for a different thing. I have come to save my mother from the claws of Tere and Martin. We were also tricked during the war which made my family and Ryan's family in danger. I have to get in there and save my mother" said Ruth.
" How about we form a deal Ruth? We will both enter there as a couple and fulfill our different goals. After all, you should still be considered as the owner of the closer gates" said Haggai who raised his hand at Ruth.
Ruth shook hands with Haggai even though she knew that Haggai was only using her inorder to enter the closer gates.
" Get in the car Haggai because we are going to enter the closer gates in a new form that not ever Tere and Martin have ever witnessed. As soon as this is over, I hope there will be nothing more between us Haggai because I haven't forgotten that either you and Tere or Martin and Tere ordered for my parents to be killed" said Ruth who drove into the closer gates and without knocking on the door which made the gate to be broken.
She therefore drove into the house and parked her car at the garden. Akeshia, Tere and Martin who were seated at the parlor were astonished. They immediately went to the garden to check who dared to enter the house like that but the windows of the car were tilted which made them unable to see who was inside.
Even the people of the closer gates began to be filled with lots of fear and curiosity. They thought that it was a message to them that there was going to be a big war.
They entered Martin's mansion to find out what was going on but Ruth and Haggai did not dare to get out of the car. They wanted to instill fear on people for a short period of while.
