CHAPTER 151

Purits held Ruth's arm and led her out of the mansion. Both Ruth and Purist forgot to recognize Faith who was standing by the mansion door. This did not make Faith angry as she had no idea of what had really happened.

She decided to go towards Martin who was confused at the moment.

" Why do they have to despise you Martin?" Asked Faith in a serious tone filled wity lots of curiosity.

" The same thing that made you to despise both me and mama. Please leave the closer gates because you and I have nothing to talk about. You chose your path when you decided to leave us for Ruth" Shouted Martin at Faith who signalled Faith to leave.

" Is this how you think about me Martin? I never meant to leave both you and mama at that time. If I didn't leave, then Tere would have pursuaded me to kill Ruth. She is the main reason why I stabbed Ruth that day. She wanted to make sure that I went to jail and that is the main reason why I left with Ruth because she saved me from the claws of Tere. How she saved me and when she saved me does not really matter. What matters is that both Ruth and I are alive and healthy" said Faith who wanted to hug Martin but Martin resisted. 

He instead held Faith's arm and forcefully took her out of the mansion and out of the closer gates. 

" This is where you belong" shouted Martin at Faith which caught the attention of Ruth and Purist who were still outside the closer gates. 

They were waiting for a taxi to arrive which had not yet arrived. Ruth immediately ran towards Faith and assisted her to stand who had fallen on the ground.

" It's good that you know that this is where she belongs. Faith is not the only one who will always desert you. I am going to make Akeshia to desert you too. None of your family members deserve an evil man like you. I hate you Martin. I hate you more that the breathe I take" shouted Ruth at Martin. 

Martin left feeling sad. Ruth had never spoken to her in such a manner ever since he knew Ruth. The sadness in Martin's face did not even bother Ruth since she was filled with anger and hate. 

" You shouldn't have followed me here Faith. What if Martin ended up doing something bad to you? I am scared of him. He is capable of doing anything" said Ruth a bit sad. 

" What do you mean? Did Martin do something bad to you?" Asked Faith filled with lots of curiosity.

" Yes! He sent Tere and Haggai to beat me up at Mambo town. I lost all my strength during the incident but Purist gave me a hope to live again when I realized that she had carried me up to the Mambo mansion. That was when I decided to leave Mambo town and come back to Olam town to face Martin. I wanted to prove to him that I could be in a position to kill too if I wanted to" said Ruth filled with lots of anger.

" I thought I knew Martin too well. I thought I knew what he is capable of and what he is not capable of but I was wrong. I wonder what changed in Martin. He used to love you more than his own life" said Faith. 

" Mama! Aunt Faith! We need to go before Papa changes his mind and decides to come after us. If that happens, we will never get out of the closer gates because Papa's  will never allow to be let alone by us . Since he will believe if he let us go, his beautiful home would be no longer what he dreamt to be" said Purist.

Luckily, a taxi driver arrived at that instant. Ruth ordered for them to be driven to Mambo town and ordered the driver to enter the gate as soon as they arrived at the boundaries of  Mambo town.

As soon as they arrived at the mansion, Nelly who was seated at the balcony informed Ryan and Naomi who were in their respective rooms and therefore rushed towards living room where Ruth and Faith had already arrived. Purist decided to go back to her matrimonial home. 

This was because according to the rules of the land, a wife was not supposed to disappear from her matrimonial home for a long period of time. That person might be considered dead even though she was still alive. Those were some of the main reasons why Ruth wanted to ruin Purist's wedding.

" Ruth! I have been so much worried about you. What happened to you? Who tried to harm my one and only daughter? I swear with my womb that I gave birth to you that I will make that person pay" shouted Naomi filled with lots of anger. 

" Mama! I don't really want you to be involved in this because I love you so much. Do you promise to that you won't do anything when I tell you what happened?" Asked Naomi.

" I will go as per your wish" shouted Naomi in a pellucid voice.

" I am sorry for the fact that I sneaked and went to visit Purist in her matrimonial home. I will accept any punishment that comes with that in this land. I just had to do that because of the unconditional love that I have for my daughter. I was attacked by Tere and Haggai immediately I came out of Purist's matrimonial home. They beat me up and claimed that Martin was the one who sent them. That really broke my heart mama. So I took a trip to the closer gates and confronted Martin" said Ruth as tears welled down her eyes.

She could not still believe the fact that Martin would go to an extent of sending her own enemies to beat her up. 

" Why would Martin do that? Was he not your husband a few years back? You are getting married to Ryan in two weeks time. It has already been decided. I want to see what he will do after that heartbreaking news" said Naomi filled with lots of anger.

" But Aunt Naomi......" Said Ryan but Naomi suddenly interrupted.

" You don't have to deny anything Ryan. You are the one who said you love my daughter. Prove it to me by getting married to her in two weeks time. Would you do that?" Asked Naomi as she sat on the couch. 

" Fine! This is only because I love Ruth with whole of my heart. Your decision of me getting married to your daughter is the best thing I have heard after all the troubles we have both been facing. Magdalene will be happy. May her soul continue resting in peace" said Ryan who kept smiling mercilessly.

" Anything for the hapiness of my mama" said Ruth smiling who left to her room.

Ruth was already tired after all that happened that day. She decided to lock her room from the inside since she did not want any disturbance. She therefore went towards her closet and removed Magdalene's picture from the closet. She sat on the floor as she hugged the picture crying. 

RUTH'S POV.

Few days have passed but yet I have no idea of the person who killed you grandma. Please guide me to your killer. I know that my wedding is going to be in two weeks time. I have no idea of that is the right thing to do grandma. Please guide me to follow the right path. Understand that it is at this times of my life that I need you so much. 

Ruth thought as tears welled down her eyes. She had never felt confused like she felt that day. 

Ruth continued holding Magdalene's picture seeking for her guidance till she finally fell asleep lying on the floor.

Naomi was still worried about her. She decided to borrow Ryan the spare keys to Ruth's room. Ryan agreed to give the keys to Naom since Naomi was Ruth's mother. 

As soon as Naomi opened the door, she was astonished to see Ruth lying on the floor. She immediately went towards her and found out that she was still carrying Magdalene's picture on her arms. 

She took the picture and looked at it then started crying as soon as she found out that the person who was in the picture was Magdalene.

Her cries made her to began to cry aloud which forced Ruth to wake. She immediately stood then went towards Naomi and hugged her.

" It's all going to end soon my mama. I will never let you shed a single tear ever again. You are all l am left with ad I don't want to loose you because if my ignorance like I left grandma" said Ruth who felt regretful for Magdalene's death.

" You have protected us enough Ruth. It's time for me to protect you as your mama" said Naomi as she turned towards Ruth and hugged her.

Ruth felt that Naomi was not in her right senses yet Naomi felt she was right. It was her duty to protect her own daughter.
