CHAPTER 150
Ruth decided to leave but promised herself that she would find out the main reason why Purist was in a hurry to chase her away.
On her way, Ruth was astonished to see both Tere and Haggai standing beside the road. She immediately passed them since she knew that they could not be able to recognize her. She was astonished when she turned behind her and saw that they were following her.
" What do you both want from her?" Asked Ruth changing the tone of her voice into an old woman's as she stood looking at them.
" Ruth! Ruth! Ruth! How many times have I called you? " Asked Tere laughing annoyingly.
Ruth immediately removed the scarf on her head since Tere had already recognized her.
" Three times master. How have you both managed to enter this town with the presence of too many guards at the boundary of this town?" Asked Ruth filled with lots of curiosity.
" How have you managed to see my daughter with all the restrictions on this land? Ruth, a perfect lawyer in Olam town. I think you should be able to know these things more than I do. I will always come to this town whenever I want to and go back to Olam town but that is not what Haggai and I have come here to discuss with you" said Tere.
" What have you both come to discuss with me then?" Asked Ruth angrily.
" We have come to give you a tone of your medicine. We have come to prepare you for the international war that is going to take place soon as per Martin's order" said Haggai as she held both of Ruth's arm and signalled to Tere to start beating her.
Tere beat Ruth till she started bleeding from her mouth and nosebleeding as well which made Tere to stop. Haggai threw Ruth on the ground at that instant and left in a hurry accompanied by Tere.
Purist who had witnessed everything that was happening ran towards Ruth and lifted her up. This was after she decided to follow Ruth after she felt that something wrong was going to happen to her.
Purist decided to carry Ruth to the mansion even though she felt that Ruth was heavy. As soon as they arrived at the gate of the mansion, Purist fell on the ground.
Nelly who went back to sit at the balcony was astonished to see both Purist and Ruth lying on the ground. She therefore ran towards the living room and found Faith, Ryan and Naomi seated on the living room.
" Follow me. Ruth is in danger" shouted Nelly a bit tensed who rushed outside the house.
Everybody at the living room followed Nelly outside the gates but neither of them saw Ruth as soon as they arrived.
" Where is Ruth? Why have you decided to lie to us that my daughter is in danger?" Asked Naomi.
" I...I saw them here just now when I was seated at the balcony. I saw Purist carrying Ruth in her arms. Purist was tired and Ruth seemed to have been beaten up and was bleeding. You all have to believe me. If you don't, then search for Ruth all over the house. You will find out that she is nowhere to be found" said Nelly a bit tensed.
" Aunt Naomi! I think we should give Nelly a benefit of doubt. I think Ruth is in danger" said Faith.
They all went inside and sat on the living room trying to figure out what might had happened to Ruth. It was really strange since Ruth never left the mansion without telling anyone and wouldn't plan to do anything in her life without telling either Faith or Naomi.
" The only way to find out the truth is to go to Purist's matrimonial home. If it's true that she is not there then that means that something bad has happened to them" said Ryan.
" Who will go? Aunt Naomi and I cannot go because we are family and we are sure that family does not like us because Ruth always tries everything to destroy Purist's marriage. I believe that Nelly and Ryan are the only ones in a better condition to go" said Faith as everyone nodded their head in agreement.
Ryan and Nelly immediately left. They arrived at Purist's matrimonial home as soon as possible since it was not far from the mansion. They found Jackson playing outside the house.
" Jackson! We know your are Purist's favorite child and you will never lie to us about her. Where is your mother?" Asked Nelly in a pellucid voice smiling as she approached Jackson and leaned beside him accompanied by Ryan.
" She followed the strange woman who came to visit her and has not come back till now" replied Jackson innocently.
" Can you be able to recognize that woman?" Asked Nelly filled with lots of curiosity.
" No! I don't think I was able to recognize that woman since she covered herself all over her body including her face" said Jackson.
" Thank you for your information Jackson" said Nelly smiling.
" Is my mama lost? Please help me find my mama" said Jackson.
" My sister and your mama were seen together as much as I can remember. I don't really know what has happened to them but I am going to find your mama and bring her back to you" said Nelly who hugged Jackson and left accompanied by Ryan.
They both felt pity for little Jackson but yet there was nothing they could do about it. It was then that Ryan believed Nelly was teliing the truth. They were also astonished to see blood on the road as they were passing and going to the mansion.
" It might be Ruth's blood. Maybe this is the place that both Ruth and Purist got attacked. Goodness! What is happening all over again? I think I am becoming scared Ryan" said Nelly as she shook her head in disbelief.
" You don't have to be scared Nelly. You don't have scared till we find out what has really happened to them. Let's go back to the mansion first and give the sad the sad news to the peopleb waiting for the news" said Ryan who held Nelly's arm and led her back to the mansion.
They found everybody seated on the living room waiting to get feedback from them. Nelly immediately went and sat beside Naomi on the couch .
" Purist is not there either. It is said that she left her matrimonial home following Ruth and hasn't come back yet. There is something wrong somewhere" said Ryan.
" I know where she might gave gone to. I know that Ruth has gone back to the closer gates and must have a valid reason why. I must go back there and bring my daughter back" said Naomi who immediately stood and wanted to leave but Faith stopped her by holding her arm.
" Please stay Aunt Naomi. I will be the one to go to the closer gates and I promise to bring Ruth and Purist back" said Faith who immediately left.
She boardered a taxi as soon as she left the boundaries of Mambo town. It took Faith Five hours to arrive at the closer gates. She highlighted the car when she arrived and noticed that the closer gates were fully guarded and none of the guards outside the gates of the closer gates allowed her to enter.
" Why are you all like this? Why are you all not allowing me to enter my own home? I am Faity Tupfer and I am Martin's sister" shouted Faith at the guards filled with lots of anger.
The guards immediately paved way for Faith to enter. Faith passed and immediately went to the mansion. As soon as she arrived at the closer gates mansion, she entered and was astonished to see Ruth and Purist standing beside each other and holding guns. They were both pointing their guns at Martin.
" Why did you have to send Tere after me? What if she killed me today? When did your hatred for me reach such a point?" Asked Ruth as she pointed the gun at Martin filled with lots of anger.
" What are you talking about? Why are you saying that I sent Tere over to you at Mambo town who attempted to kill you? You know that I love you more than I love my own life Ruth. I swear that I have no idea that Tere tried to kill you" said Martin hesitantly.
Ruth looked at Martin in a deep state of confusion. She felt like she should believe whatever Martin was telling her but also felt that Tere vould never lie to her.
" You never miss something to justify your action Martin. I thought that you loved me and I was your hapiness. Now there is nothing like love left in my heart anymore. I hate you Martin. I hate you more than the breathe I take" shouted Ruth at Martin as tears welled down her eyes.
" I hate you too Papa. You dare hurt my mama. I can't believe you would go to such an extent. Let's go Mama, if we stay here anytime longer then we will obliged to kill him which will not be good" said Purist who held Ruth's arm and led her out of the mansion.
They even forgot to recognize Faith who was standing by the mansion door. This did not make Faith angry since she had no idea of what had really happened.
