CHAPTER 154
Akeshia felt that the only thing she needed to do was to make sure that Ruth got married to Ryan.
" I command both of you to go back and continue doing your work. I need to have a conversation with my son" said Akeshia who signalled to both Lady Nana and Lady Ruby to leave.
Akeshia went to the mansion and searched for Martin. She found Martin seated at the garden.
" Son! I accept the fact that you love Ruth with all your heart. I therefore agree with the fact that those people should sufffer till you get Ruth back in your arms. That is the only thing that I know will make you be at peace" said Akeshia to Martin.
Akeshia pretended to be on Martin's side but on the hand she hated Ruth with all of her heart. She hated Ruth for the fact that Ruth did not want anything to do with Martin. She hated the fact that she did not not tell Martin earlier that she was a mother. Maybe she could have prevented the marriage between Ruth and Martin to take place that day.
" Thank you mama. I knew that you would never leave me when I needed you the most. You are one of the people that I will always treasure most in my life. You are a wonderful mother" said Martin as he looked at Akeshia who decided to put on a fake smile on her face.
" I have to leave to mambo town. I have heard that Ruth's weddidng is going to happen in a month's time. Therefore I think it is better that I go there in order to stop that wedding. I feel like that is what mama would have wanted, for the children of both daughters she loved to get married" said Akeshia smiling.
Akeshia therefore went to her room and packed a few of her clothes from the closet. As soon as she finished, she carried her bag downstairs and was astonished to find out the fact that Martin was still at the garden.
Akeshia decided to go towards him and embrace him. She felt more hatred for Ruth when she saw that Martin was on that condition psychologically feeling lonely and unwanted.
" Don't worry son. I will make things right. I will make sure that Ruth will come back with me to the closer gates. She will take new vows with you and the two of you will leave happily ever after" said Akeshia to Martin.
Akeshia therefore took her bag and left the closer gates. She boardered a taxi and instructed the taxi driver to take her to mambo town. It took her five hours to get to mambo town. This actually meant that Faith and Naomi had already arrived.
Akeshia was lucky that the guards guarding outside the boarders of mambo town. This was simply because Akeshia had lied that Ruth had sent for her. This was before she had an idea that Ruth was rushed to the hospital due to the pains she had.
Akeshia decided to search for the hospital till she found it. She immediately entered and looked for Ruth's ward by opening each ward one by one till she found the right ward. She entered and went towards Ruth astonished. She had never seen Ruth in such a terrible state before. This included the times that Martin beat her up while still at the closer gates.
" Ruth! I now understand what brought both Naomi and Faith at the closer gates. It really true that Haggai and Tere attacked you but there is one thing that is not true. Martin is not the one who sent Tere and Haggai to attack you. They attacked you out of their own choice" said Akeshia angrily.
" Really? Then why do I have to be angry at Martin? I should really go and apologize to him. I said so many hurtful words towards him knowing that he truly loves me so much. What sort of a person am I ? Why would I hurt somebody that I loved too much before?" Said Ruth who seemed regretful in a pellucid voice.
" No! You don't need to apologize to him. I want you to leave my son alone and get married to Ryan. He is so much obsessed by you and when man is in such kind of state, he looses all hope for living and becomes a psycopath. I do not really want my son to be in such kind of a situation ever again. Therefore, I want you to leave my son alone" Shouted Akeshia at Ruth.
Akeshia had no idea that Faith , Naomi, Ryan and Nelly were standing by the door of the ward. Akeshia only realized it when she turned behind her and wanted to leave.
" Mama! What are you saying to Ruth? Can't you see the state that she is in? She is not in a perfect condition to hear any bad news from anyone. You know very well that Martin was Ruth's first love and till now Ruth feels that she loves Martin but she is trying to forget about him because she is soon getting married to Ryan. Is that......" Said Faith but Akeshia suddenly interrupted her.
" I know that. I know that Ruth is getting married to Ryan soon. That is what I have come to make sure happens. So! How are guests treated in this community? Can't I be welcomed in the mansion and taken to the guest room to rest?" Asked Akeshia smiling.
" Faith! Please take Aunt Akeshia to the mansion and make sure that she rests. That is only if Ryan and Nelly do not mind" said Ruth in a pellucid voice.
" I don't mind at all and I know that Nelly will not mind either" said Ryan.
Faith immediately assisted Akeshia to carry her bag and took her to the mansion.
Naomi on the other hand looked at Ruth angrily. She did not understand the main reason why Ruth made a decision to accept Akeshia to stay at the mansion.
" I have only done what I have to do mama. Aunt Akeshia is carrying her bag which mean that she is here to stay. She is Faith's mother that is why I have done that. Faith has always been good to us especially me" said Ruth.
" But we do not know what Akeshia has come to do here. Why have you done that Ruth? Have you done it because of Martin huh? Do you still love Martin?" Asked Naomi angrily.
" I do not really love Martin at all. My wedding with Ryan is coming soon. Ryan is my choosen one. Not even Tere or Haggai would be able to prevent me to see that day. The fact that Akeshia has come here to say that Martin was not involved is the truth. It is better that we accept that as soon as possible" said Ruth who turned towards the wall and began to cry.
Naomi angrily left the ward accompanied by Nelly who decided to follow her who went outside the hospital and began to cry.
" Aunt! Aunt! Aunt! You need to calm down . You have to do this for the sake of Ruth since so many things are strange. Ruth says that she neither has leukemia nor needs blood transfusion. It's time we listen. We can take her to a private to renew the tests once again. And today I have felt that nobody understands her" said Nelly.
" Who are you to tell me all that? Are you my mother? Ruth is only going through some tough times in her life. She cannot be able to accept the fact that Martin was the one who sent Tere and Haggai. She cannot accepted the fact that she has leukemia and needs blood transfusion. I don't what to do anymore Nelly. None of us is a match to her" said Naomi as tears welled down her eyes.
" There must be someone who is a match to her aunt. Lawrence and Vivian have not taken their tests but then I don't think they Lawrence is a match. Vivian is the only one remaining" said Nelly .
" What are you saying? How can Vivian help us after Faith and Ryan sent her to Mambo cell?" Asked Naomi filled with lots of curiosity.
" I do not really believe that Ruth is as sick as the doctor says but I will talk to Vivian whatsoever to help her. I am going to release from Mambo cell after she accepts to help. I am going to take up my new position as the new case manager. Please go back to the hospital and take care of Ruth while I go and do my work" said Nelly who signalled to Naomi to enter the hospital.
Nelly therefore left to Mambo cell. As soon as she arrived, she found Vivian seated at the cell and was already weak since she has become tired of staying at the cell alone.
" What are you doing here?" Asked Vivian.
" I am here to..." Said Nelly but Vivian suddenly interrupted.
" Go ahead and laugh at my misery Nelly. You never loved me at all" said Vivian.
Nelly looked at Vivian filled with lots of regrets. She wished that she understood Vivian the same way that she understood Ruth a while ago.
