CHAPTER 188

" Leave her! You don't have any right to mishandle my mother like that. She is not Ruth for you to control like robot. She is my mother who on the other hand should be the one to control you like a robot. Are you not afraid of her old age?" said Martin angrily as he entered Akeshia's room. 

Tere immediately stopped holding Akeshia's arm tightly and apologized. She knew that if she lost the trust and love of Ryan, then she would have lost her entire rights to stay at the closer gates. Tere therefore left Akeshia's room. She promised that after the marriage, she would make sure that all the rights to rule the closer gates as Martin's wife would go back to her . The only mistake that she would not do is to send Martin to the cell of .hell and make Akeshia her servant. This is simply because she had claimed before that she was compelled to do those things by Haggai. 

Martin went close to Akeshia and began checking on her arm. Akeshia's body had become all wrinkled since she was already at her old age unlike Magdalene who was already old but seemed like a forty year lady before she met her untimely death. 

" Let it be son. She has only done that because I am such an annoying mother-in-law who finds it hard to understand things" said Akeshia as she went towards the window and peeped through the window as tears welled down her eyes.

" The connection between a mother and son is such a way that a son always feels whenever her mother is in trouble or in pain. I know you ate luong to me mama. Why are you defending that useless lady Tere. Have you forgotten that the more you defend her, then the more stupid she will become" said Martin.

" Leave Martin. I want to finish praying for usnos and the future" said Akeshia who signalled to Martin to leave using her arm.

Martin left still convinced that there was a problem somewhere which he had to realize as soon as possible. Unfortunately, all the thoughts he heard about the relationship between Akeshia and Tere faded away as soon as he heard a commotion outside the closer gates.

Martin immediately went outside to check what was happening and was astonished to see the people of the closer gates carrying kerosene in their arms. 

" We want Ruth! We want Ruth! We want Ruth's" said the people of the closer gates as they continued shouting and pouring the kerosene all over the mansion. 

" Order! What is all these? Where exactly is this Ruth that you are speaking about?" Asked Martin filled with lots of curiosity. 

He was happy as a lark that the people of the closer gates did not want Tere to get married to Martin. It was still not what Martin wanted either. Ruth came out amongst the multitude which astonished Martin.

" I am here my love. I am here to answer all the questions that you have in your mind. What's the problem? Are you afraid of me? or are you afraid by the fact that your Tere might do something bad to me. Come on! We are both engaged to different individuals. Therefore, nothing should worry you especially by the fact that you think Tere is going to hurt me" said Ruth smiling. 

" What are you doing here?" Martin asked Tere.

" I am here to return what belongs to my family. I am here to return the ancestral vase. I will cone back and claim it as soon as I have finished my wedding . Please don't worry that something bad will have to the ancestral vase. I have placed such a strong stone power protectionon it. Therefore, I want to urge you to permit me to enter the house in front of the closer gates people. It'll be able to ensure me that my ancestral vase will be fine in your arms here at the closer gates" said Ruth as Martin moved aside and paved way for Martin to enter. 

Ruth immediately entered filled with lots of happiness. She knew that she had fulfilled the wish of her ancestors. Ruth therefore went and placed the ancestral vase on top of table that was beside the study. She therefore cast a protection spell on it in such a way that anybody who dared to destroy it, then that person would die his or her untimely death. The person would also have no choice other than be thrown away from every morgue and left outside to rot and be leaked by dogs. Those were the consequences which Ruth placed on the ancestral vase. 

As soon as she finished, Ruth wanted to leave but was astonished as soon as she felt somebody turned her towards her and slapped her on her cheeks. Ruth was astonished to find out that it was Akeshia. She ignored Akeshia filled with lots of anger and wanted to leave but Akeshia held her arm once again and slapped her much more harder.

This made Ruth to want to slap Akeshia back but stopped as soon as she saw Tere approaching them. 

" You are both angry at me! I should be the one angry at the both of you for cheating me. I have always known that you people hated me but I never thought that you would want me dead in such a manner. What did you both think? Is it that I would know you exchanged the broken ancestral vase with a fake vase? You people tend to forget that there is a difference between the ancestral world and the fake world" said Ruth filled with lots of anger. 

" Was the ancestral vase fake mama? How could you lie to me?" Asked Tere filled with lots of anger.

" There was no other way out to make Purist come to the closer gates and enter our house once again. Luckily, thinks happened as I had planned. Now my daughter-in-law is back. I know that she will fight for what she thinks is rightfully hers. She will fight for her rights back as Martin's wife" said Akeshia smiling.

" You did all this for me mama? Why then did you forget that doing this would bring a lot of bad omens in my life. Sometimes you don't have to do anything to get everything that you want my mama. My life was in danger because of this simple act of yours. You should have just told me to come visit you at the closer gates as well. The only thing that I have to do is to leave now. I still have an unfinished businrdd back in mambo town" said Ruth who left the mansion and went back to town one by performing a departure spell .

Ruth had finally accepted that she was a witch. Therefore, she took it upon herself to learn and understand how to perform a spell. She knew that she did not need to be taught, she had to learn everything out by herself.

As soon as Ruth arrived at town one, she immediately went to the one mansion and was taken to Mr. One's study room. She found Mr. One seated on a chair looking at a picture as tears welled down his eyes.

" Don't you think it's too early to mourn sir. You cannot be grieving like this. It is us who should grieve since in two days time you and the people of the closer gates will be attacking us. Is that not the kind of message you sent to us sometime back? Why then did you seek for my presence?" Asked Ruth.

" To form an alliance with you. I will stop the war that is meant to happen very soon as long as you manage to convince my daughter to cone and live with me here in town one" said Mr One smiling.

" Why? Why do you think that I will dare betray my friend like that? Asked Ruth filled with lots of anger.

" Because I know that you love Ryan too much more than you love Faith. It is common in most couple as many usually chooses their spouses instead of their own friends" said Mr. One laughing annoyingly. 

" You have said most people which is not necessary for me to get among those most people . I am sorry but I love my friendship more than my love life. There is no way that I will ever be in a position to to betray Faith. Please allow me to leave. I will be waiting for the war" said Ruth who left immediately.

" You still have two days to change your mind" said Mr .One as Ruth immediately left.

Ruth was a truthful friend and therefore she felt that loosing the trust of Faith and betraying her in such a manner would make their relationship scatter.

Mr. One on the other hand felt that Ruth was going to come back to seek his help. This was after he sent his warriors to go to Mambo town and hit almost every woman walking by the roadside. He knew that if Ruth saw it, then she would change her mind and agree to Me. One's plans.
