Chapter 59

"What if Connor isn't aware of him?" Lydia inquired. "I guess we'll look for another option," Ellie said. "Let's just hope Connor is aware of him," I interjected.

***************

We were in the woods, on our way to where Connor had told us to meet him. After a few minutes of walking through the woods, we arrived at the location where Connor had instructed us to meet him. He was at the very edge of the cliff.

He was aware of our presence. "Hey Guys, what was the reason you called me?" he said as he turned back to us. We got closer to him at the bottom of the cliff.

"Hello, Connor," Ellie said. "We'd like to know if you've ever heard of Nicholas," I said. "Nikolas!" he exclaimed.

His expression suggested that he had heard the name before, or that he knew who he was talking about. "Do you have a reason for asking?" Connor stated.

I'm not sure if it's safe to tell him about Nikolas. But I can't bring myself to tell him. "We just want to inquire about him," I replied. "

Lydia cut me off, "Adam, It's safe if you tell him," I assumed she had noticed my gesture. "Is there something he's trying to keep from me?" Connor inquired of Lydia.

"I'm not hiding anything from you," I explained, "I just don't want other supernatural beings to know about a vampire who killed five hundred years ago and is now awake."

Wait!! "Are you trying to tell me Nicholas is still alive?" he inquired calmly. "Yes, he's alive but imprisoned, and I'd like to know if he's okay before I let him out. That's why I came to you, because you, too, have lived for over 500 years "I responded.

"We tried to ask if we should release him," Lydia said. "I see what you're saying. I don't know much about Nikolas. All I knew was that he was the second son of Sebastian, the first blood vampire. He and his three brothers, Alaric, Michael, and Shaw, were the first vampires to be born.

Not only was their mother a vampire, but she was also a powerful witch who possessed dark magic "He was explaining, but I cut him off. "Are you trying to say he's a hybrid?" I inquired.

"That's what I was about to say, but they're also not a hybrid because their vampire gene is taking over their magic gene," he explained. "Do you have anything else you'd like us to know about him?" I inquired. "He's a man of many words." "Be careful around him, even if he's the nicest member of his family," he said as he dashed off the cliff.

But why does Alaric's name keep popping up?" I questioned myself, but I believe Ellie heard me. "He's the most dangerous of them all." "Everyone fears him, but I've never seen him before," Ellie replied.

Lydia went on to say, "He fears one person, and that is their father." They're all afraid of him." Lydia said this, adding, "What are we going to do now?" Ellie inquired. I returned my gaze to them slowly. "We're releasing him," I said.
