Chapter 26

I waited there till his footsteps faded away. I came out of my hideout and bolted towards the locker room. On getting there, I only found Stephen's phone on the branch in the locker room.

I heard the second door into the soccer team's locker room being slammed. I ran to the door, held the door handle, and opened it.

I came out and closed the door. The hallway was empty. I didn’t know which way he would have taken Stephen. I looked at both sides. I got a glimpse of him dragging Stephen recklessly down the hallway on the right. I bolted after him.

He was walking towards the gym, so I dashed there and met him in the middle of the basketball court. He appeared to be ready to fight me.

Stephen was down the court, under the basket, when I noticed him. I deduced from the information he was attempting to convey to me that I needed to go through him in order to save Stephen.

Then I made my way to the center of the gym, close to him. It felt more like we were about to go toe-to-toe for a championship belt. The reflection of light from the window made it more interesting, and I wished we could have a few spectators to watch how I spanked his a$$.

I scratched my head and then morphed into my half-wolf form. My long, sharp nails gradually emerged. I moved my left leg slightly backwards, in line with my right leg, snarling loudly and with veins crawling across my face, after I had taken position for an attack.

"If you want a fight, I'll give it to you," I yelled as I zoomed up to him, aiming to punch him in the face.

He blocked it by twisting my hand in his palm and slamming me to the ground. I groan in agony.

He yanked me up by my clothes. When he threw me to the other side of the gym, he was howling, and I hit my back on the basket pole. I collapsed to the ground as I felt pain down my spine.

He snarled loudly as he moved steadily towards me. I knelt on my knees, hands on the floor. I lifted my right hand from the ground and stretched it backwards. I lifted my right knee off the floor slightly.

I glared angrily at him, looked up, and dashed towards him. I was too slow for him, so he grabbed my neck and strangled me, it made me got choked. I clutched his hand, attempting to free it from my neck. I had no idea what I was about to fight with; he's twice as strong as me, and defeating him without a strategy would be like walking over a fire, possibly cause me to lose the fight and not be able to save Stephen.

Before I come up with a plan, I have to get his hand off my neck. I opened my mouth widely and bit his wrist. I felt my long sharp fangs in his body. He roared out in pain, then threw me away. I crashed into the pavilion.
