Chapter 102

I drove into the school compound, then drove into the parking lot for motorcycles. I parked my motorcycle well and turned off the engine. I removed my helmet from my head and placed it on the motorcycle.

I locked the helmet to the motorcycle, then reached out for my school bag, then opened it to get my face cap. I wore it on my head, then zipped my school bag back and backed it up against my back.

I noticed some people staring at me, especially the girls, and I'm guessing I'm most of their crush. Come to think of it, prom is only three days away, and I don't even have a prom date.

Shortly after Josh and Jack drove into the school compound, they packed their motorcycles on both sides. They both wore the same concept of clothing as me. It was like we had planned to wear the same thing to school.

The only difference between what we were wearing were the colours. Josh's best colour is red, and Jack's best colour is green.

"What's up guys?" I said.

"Wassup Adam?" Jack responded.

Was this a coincidence or I don’t even understand why we are all wearing the same thing? Josh is perplexed.

"I’m also thinking about that, if this was actually a coincidence," I said softly.

"We've got all eyes on us though, so that’s the interesting part of it," Jack said.

We all alighted from the motorcycle, then we walked side by side towards the school building. As we walked into the hallway heading towards our lockers, I slighted Elizabeth in front of her locker.

I said to them, "Hey, guys, see you in class," and walked fast towards her before she closed her locker and left.

"Where are you going in a hurry?" Josh inquired.

"Never mind," I yelled, as I continued walking fast towards her.

When I leaned on the locker beside her locker, she closed her locker to find out I was the one leaning on the locker beside hers.

"Hey!" I said, wearing a big smile on my face.

"What do you want from me, Adam?" she inquired, then turned to walk away.

I just wanted to have a short conversation with you. Can you spare me some of your time? "I asked, then followed her to take a walk.

She paused and turned to me. "Look, Adam, I'm not mad at you anymore, and we're still friends," she said softly.

"And don’t plan to ask me to be your prom date," she added.

Immediately, I heard I couldn’t laugh. I didn’t want to make her feel stupid, so I tried to control my laughter. Her smile had vanished from her face in an instant.

“Don’t get me wrong with what I just said, "I said softly.

"I didn’t get you wrong," she replied, and turned to continue walking. I followed her.

“Okay, then what do you want to tell me?" she asked.

“I wanted to ask if my secret is going to be safe with you,” I answered.
