Doesn't meant a thing

Olivia's pov

I walked back to my desk and angrily sat on it. how can tony behave as if nothing transpired between us? I sadly pick up a file and started going through it but I wasn't focused on it.

I picked up my phone and called Chris 

"Hey, baby girl ". He greeted.

" hey ".I replied in a low tune 

He noticed my tune and asked what was wrong 

" it's Tony".I replied

"What did that dick head do this time ". Chris asked in anger 

" He hasn't said anything about us ".I spoke in a hurt tune 

" you mean he acts as nothing happened between you guys, ".chris asked in shock 

" yes".I spoke In a whisper 

"That dickhead ". Chris spoke in anger 

We were both silent for a while before Chris spoke up

" Are you okay Oli ".he asked 

I closed my eyes and could feel tears threatening to fall down my cheek but I held them back 

"I'm not fine Chris ". I replied in a whisper

Chris hissed in anger and I could notice he was really angry 

" come home oli, I will be waiting for you ".he told me in an assuring voice. I smiled over the phone before replying to him 

" thanks Chris I will be home soon ".I told him and ended the call 

After the phone call I went back to the documents on my table and started working on it .few minutes later I checked the time and noticed it was time for Tony's meeting. I left my desk and walk up to Tony's office .he saw me and immediately stood up from his chair. I took the necessary documents we would be needing and left the office with him .the ride to the venue was tense and quiet.  I and Tony avoided each and it breaks my heart to see him act like this even when we just had sex. I hissed silently to ease the pain in me.

A few minutes later we were are the venue of the meeting. the CEO of Dallas was already seated there with two other men. I looked around and noticed I was the only lady in their midst 

The CEO of Dallas smiled at me and asked me to sit.   I sat beside Tony and brought out the file for the meeting.

They greeted each other and started the meeting. while the meeting was going on I took down important notes from both parties. the meeting lasted for an hour and we waved goodbye and took our leave

Back to the office. we sat at each end of the car and did not speak to each other. I noticed Tony wanted to say something to me but was holding himself back.

When we got to the office he asked me to set up the meeting with the department heads.

Few minutes we were at the meeting with the department heads .each department brought out their files and the meeting went on smoothly .after the meeting of one the department head reminded us of the company anniversary which was supposed to take place in a week time. Tony ran a hand on his hair it was obvious he has forgotten about it 

"I leave you and Olivia to work on it ".he spoke up and stood up from his seat dismissing the meeting.

I followed him out of the meeting and walk fast so I could catch up with me 

"You are not serious are you ".I asked 

He turned around and gave me a hard look 

"What do you mean, ".he asked 

"I have so many things on my hand and you can't add more work to it ".I spoke in anger 

He gave me a Hard look before replying to me

"You will find a way to sort it out ".he told me and left me standing in the hallway.

I couldn't believe what was happening.  did Tony just say that to me? I felt used and dump and I couldn't help but allow the tears to pour down my eyes. when I got to my desk I arrange my things so I could go home.  I quickly took my things and left for home.

When I got home I saw Chris already at home .he saw me and rushed to hug me. I felt myself melt in his hug and couldn't help but cry. Chris kept on saying sweet words to me till I was able to calm down. we ended the hug and Chris gave me a big smile. He asked me to go change up and join him at the table. I quickly took my bath and changed into comfortable clothing.

I went back to the dining table and saw different dishes on the table. Chris told me to sit and eat with him.    I smiled at him before sitting down. we ate in silence without talking about anything. after eating we went to the sitting room and put on a movie to watch.   while watching the movie Chris spoke up

"That guy is a bastard".he said while staring at the TV.  I knew he was talking about Tony.

"Yes, he is ".I replied while staring at the TV 

Chris hissed in irritation and faces me 

"Then why are you still in love with him, ".he asked with an angry look.

"You can't tell the heart who to love ".I replied him 

"You should control that heart of yours ".

"I wish I can ".I replied him. he rolled his eyes at me before going back to the movies

"So what now, ".he asked 

I was quiet because truly I don't know what will happen now. I and Tony had sex which I thought would strengthen our relationship or meant something to him .but it seems I was wrong. the sex between us meant nothing to him.

I was still in thought when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked around and saw a worried Chris 

"It's okay oli, he is a dick head and doesn't deserve you, you deserve better".he said with a little smile on his face. I smiled at him and hugged him 

"you are the best in the world".I told Chris .he chuckled and replied to me 

"Of course I know that ".I chuckled at his words and we went back to the movie. We watch the movie in silence till we slept off .
