Chapter 25

    She looked at him in confusion, she felt totally fine with human clothes, neither did she feel any different. He looked at her nervously, her bare grey skin, was distracting.

    He still thought the lady standing in front of him, was the same lady he saved earlier, so he didn't bother to speak, she looked at the child with pain in her piercing, eyes, she communicate telepathically with the man once more, " My name is nalu,a Supreme deity, of the ocean, ando have not come to harm you please don't fear me,instead I have come to seek favour from there"..

     She said while looking at him, the man was surprised by what he heard, he blinked vigorously, he couldn't digest what just happened, and he has heard wild rumors about sea creatures and how brutal they seem, and also their spiritual powers but he never thought he would ever encounter any of them. 

      He was speechless, and could only swallow his spit nervously, "Mrs nalu,what can I help you with", his own courage startled him, they were all kinds of expressions, surprised, frightened, nervous and a hint of happiness.

         Nalu couldn't comprehend what he just said, she doesn't speak the language of humans, she could only communicate telepathically, she cocked her head to the left, to let him know that she doesn't understand then she spoke in his mind again, " young humans, I don't communicate the human way, please can we talk in this safe place".

  The young man's face seems to be getting clearer as I stare at him, I could feel cold chills running down my spine. Why does this human freak me out ? Am I ready for another shocking revelation?

        The young human understood what she was saying clearly, she had the ability to read minds so he spoke within himself," how can I help you lady nalu", he knew that his idea worked because she responded asap.

      " I have a problem and you are the right person, for it, I came to you not as a deity but as a fellow creature in desperate need of help"......, she said while staring at the sleeping baby who has finally adjusted to the land of humans.

     …… " I would like you to help me keep the soul of this child here and I can sense your worries for your pregnant wife, at home, I promise you safety and wealth if you can help me, you are the only person I can talk to, that is in the right place to help". 

      The young man was marveled, he never expected such request, how can he keep a mermaid soul in his house,and how does she know his wife is pregnant ?!, " Lady Nalu, how do u expect me to do that, and how can I possess the soul of an innocent child, and why?!, He said shaking slightly, with his two hands at the back of his head.

    " There's problem in the Ocean, ands either you help her,or she dies a cruel death, the king of the ocean wants to kill her,and her mother who is the previous lady that came begs of you to help her,please of not the blood of the baby might be on ur hands. 

    The man had compassion on them, he felt warm holding the baby on his arm, though if wasn't his first child ,his wife would be expecting a new born baby girl, pressing his lips on a thin line he said, " how do I help,I don't extract souls, and how do I tell my wife what just happened".

  Before he could say another word, he was cut off by lady nalu, " I will extract her soul, for you, and put it in a jar of water so your wife can drink it, then kailani's soul would be transferred to the existing body in the womb,and don't worry about your wife she would have no idea".

        He pressed his lips on a hard line, with a furrowed brow, it was hard to take In, and too sudden, but he has to help , he wanted to help but doesn't know if it's the right thing to do, " I promise to protect your family, and kailani", the young man took a deep breath before stretch his hand for an Hand shake, nalu kept staring at his hands in confusion, then the young man grabbed her hand and have her a handshake.

   " It's the human way of concluding a deal , but I have a question what will happen my child'' ….. he said with extreme worry he didn't think it through,...." She would be okay,her body would only be used as a vessel nothing would happen to her as long as she possesses kailani's soul, I would look after you and your family,you won't lack anything, neither would anyone cast evil eyes on your family and leave to see the next day.
