Chapter 26

   Then they had a proper handshake, " follow me to the water" she said looking through the windows, the young man followed her line of sight when he saw the most amazing thing he has ever noticed.

     The ocean had risen and was emitting a very shiny blue color, the waves were so beautiful, what is happening?They went outside to meet a group of naked ladies forming a circle, while chanting what seemed like a spell, all of them were similar, they looked like nalu, but had metallic blue hair.

         They  were all grey skinned and skinny, nalu took kailani along with her and placed her in the middle of the already formed circle before going to take her place. In the circle, the young man was amazed, it was indeed the strangest night.

            The waves were becoming  tough and wild, but the sea creatures weren't affected, they stood still unbothered as the water from the shore splashed  against their skin. Kailani let out a frustrating and weird sound. She doesn't cry like a normal person, it's more like a siren noise.

        They continue chanting,and moving there body, to the rhythm of the wave, a transparent box came of the water and settles beside kailani, it actually terrifying, and If I was in human form I would have fainted, nalu stepped forward to pick kailani up, without stopping the spell.

     The skies were raging, I was more like a thunderstorm, I could feel the ground shake, nalu continue chanting until  white particles starting emitting from kailani's body, she starting shouting it looks painful, " poor girl" the young man said, while looking at the  Baby in front of him.

      After the weird activity, kailani was placed in the transparent box," is she dead" the young man said while looking at nalu, he was worried because she looks lifeless, " No she is not, a body is being preserved, without a soul, she needs he body If she ever wants to come back to the water.

     Nalu stretched her hands and gave the young man a bottle, containing a shiny White substance, …" take Kailani's soul, give it to your wife to drink, but mix it with water,and nothing more before giving it to her", she said in an authoritative manner, the young man looked at the bottle before taking it, he held it so cautiously, like it was the most precious thing In the world.

        It was indeed a precious thing,nalu was grateful to the young man, she promised to be in touch from time to time, before departing, she was pleased with his action, the young man stared at the bottle on his hand for long, he never dreamt of holding a soul,he asked himself series of question,he felt sad,and nervous.

      The next day he woke up, praying that everything was a dream but it was more realistic than anything he has ever seen or experienced, he kept wondering how it would go,will he trust the strange lady he only met a few hours ago?!, He couldn't take the tension so he stood beside the water, in order to dispose of the bottle.

    " Their problem has nothing to do with me",  he was about to throw the bottle away when an image of Kailani's pitiful face appeared in his mind, of he dispose of the bottle,he might end kailani's life cruelly, he has the opportunity to save a life, and he should save her,? Or should he?

      He was confused, weak, and sad, but he had to take  the risk, his family life was at stake, and same with Kailani, he couldn't ask anyone for advice so he boarded a bus to his house, when he got home he saw his beautiful wife,and his lovely children.

      Though he wasn't financially buoyant he was happy,  nothing was more perfect than his family,all thanks to his wife, she welcomed him with a hug, and kissed his cheek, I could sense the love, he reciprocated her gesture," what's wrong hon you look worried", she could tell he was disturbed.

       " Darlin, what's bothering you" ?He looked at his wife's worried face, he had never lied to her since they were married and he doesn't know if he's capable of doing so now " I saw a sea creature and I was given a soul"  she burst out in laughter she actually thought her husband was telling a silly joke,she choked while laughing.

       And her husband went to the kitchen to get water for her,when he got there he stared at the cup of water, " it won't harm harm her, what's the worst that can happen", he brought out the bottle and poured the content which was  like white smoke, they settled in the water and it became unnoticeable.

      Like nothing happened, he wanted to have a sip but he won't want to have two souls in one body, what about his daughter she already has a soul," don't think about it, it's going to be fine",  he said before leaving the kitchen with the water.

    " Hon here's the water'' as she drank the water his mouth became dry, and his legs were shaking, there's no turning back, he kept looking at her intensely, untill she finished the water, yet there was no change in expression.

      Time passed and nothing happened, days turned into months and it was just a month away from delivery, after the encounter with the sea creature, his work became more successful and he became more wealthy,his wife and child were in perfect health and there was no complains what so ever.

        On a faithful day, his wife became restless, the baby moved too much and played to much in the womb and it was more painful than expected,she was bleeding unnecessarily,so she was rushed to the hospital but there was nothing wrong with her, she was taken to different hospitals but no result.

      The young man, had to look for lady nalu,she ensured his wife and child's safety, and now he's about to loose the both of them
