Chapter 36

     I don't want my mom to see me in her room. Kailani insisted on getting to know more about the strange lady reaching out to her. I was panicking. Should I drag her out or leave her? I just want to drain the water out. We can always come back.

     In my home, wasting water is more than a sin, " get out kailani!!!" I yelled at the top of my voice, and immediately she sank, beneath the tub, 'wait what just happened?", Athena asked in surprise.

    I was also confused, why did she sink immediately? I yelled at her, I would figure it out later, but for now i need to drain the water,before my mom enters her room, Kailani was surprised as well. She tried touching the tub but it passed through her.

     She was more like a smoke to the tub, she tried again but she passed through it, " why can't I feel the tub?"She asked, i don't have an answer to that, i fetched water from the tub to the toilet, so i can dispose of it quickly.

     She tried picking up a bucket but she passed through it again, this is strange indeed, luckily we were able to get rid of the water before my mom could enter her room.

    " Reth, why are you sweating? '',  my mom asked if only she knew, she wouldn't have asked me such a question….. I couldn't think of anything to tell her, " I bowed my head in defeat, when will i be an expert in lying, " mom!"David yelled.

    " Yes David what's the issue",.... "Please come" David is the only child in the house that has the courage to call my mom, to attend to his issue,well because he is the last child, my mom came out of David's room, frowning.

        I didn't bother to ask, " let's go" I said to Kailani and Athena by my side, " Reth!Who are you talking to?", my mom asked, ''how am i supposed to come out of this now, " uhm… Ehh.. I said I want to go… to bed, yes to bed"  

      " Hmm, Reth, you slept throughout yesterday, and you also want to rest today, well if not for the fact that i know you are not wayward i would have said you were pregnant, you look skinny though.

         " I gulp down the spit in my mouth, she doesn't know i am dating peter,ahh thank goodness i haven't had sex with Peter, " well almost had sex with Peter", Athena said while giggling childishly.

     I blushed i remembered the first night,peter kissed me, and we almost had sex, in my mom's house, " yea almost" i replied to Athena. " Almost what,Reth", jeez i forgot my mom was right in front of me.

     How do i get out of this situation, " Reth, answer me", she was persistent and my head couldn't take the stress, " i almost forgot…… to.. um… tell you that… I am..i am.. hungry,.. yes i am hungry, and i don't know what to eat.

         I forgot to breathe, she looked at me like she was trying to figure something out but couldn't put her fingers on it. " There's food in the kitchen Reth, you and serve yourself," she said before walking out of the sitting room.

     Phew, what i relief, she fell for that, i can't continue lying to everyone, neither can i be seen as a mad woman who talks to herself, a day shall come when i won't be able to forge a lie then i would be stuck
