Chapter 45

     How do I help?, it would be more than disappointing for her to leave here empty-handed. She sighed in frustration "what do I do now why can't I access my power is it locked?" I sat beside her "don't  worry everything be okay" 

   I still feel guilty for not telling her what I have been keeping from her " I had a dream I saw your home, Athena it was lifeless no one was there all the green plants were dead. It looks like a desert….

      I couldn't tell you because I knew  you would feel bad. They were drops of shiny tears like crystals that fell from her eyes, it was the first time I saw a goddess cry. I knew she was sad and angry. She stood up, with rage storming through her, "I command you to stand" she yelled at the river , the river stood it was like a big wave.

        I was shocked by what I saw. Did she just do that? she actually made the river stand there was no more water on the soil the river stood.

      Kailani was  thrown out of the water, so did every object, I sustained an injury on my left knee, Athena's hair stood still like  the feather of a peacock, she looks magnificent,I wouldn't have predicted what happened I knew she was controlled by emotions just like she did when she fought with ares  she was provoked by anger and I guess that's the way to make her show her through powers.

         She was furious and if she continued, she  could destroy the place. How do I get her out of there? She looked immobile. " Athena I yelled her name but  she didn't respond. How do I pull her from this illusion?Her eyes were burning. I could see the flame of anger in them. I could see  pain .

     And  tears as they  dropped from her eyes, Kailani, tried pulling her but she didn't move an inch. She was like a metal pole fixed deeply into the soil.

       there's no way she won't destroy this place. The grasses grew beyond limit in a little time. This place might turn into a forest as they grew without control, she looked lost, how do I snap out of it?

      I walked over to her and I whispered in my ears "everything is going to be okay"and  I guess that was the magic word she calm down I could hear sirens coming and I knew already brought attention to ourselves there were some cars that stopped how do I get out of here?

     I was possessed back by the two goddesses. A man rushed to where I stood. What are you doing here young lady? How do I answer him? Everything went out of bound, not  the way I expected.

     I looked at him and my eyes were full of tears, I knew they weren't mine. I had no reason to cry that was Athena doing,  she was in pain and I could feel her pain because you were one .

     "young lady what are you doing here" the,  man asked again, this time he yelled at me,'"  am lost sir"  I couldn't formulate a lie "did you witness what happened?"last, he asked expecting a good reply.

      I was actually the cause of what happened how do I tell him I  inhaled deeply " sure there was a strange thing that happened I believe an angel made this happen but I don't know who that is " 

     please sir I would love to go home. I cried just like a child would  do in pain but I wasn't emotional. It was the doings of Athena, but I had to do this in order to get out of this situation.

      The man had pity on me, as he led  me to the road then boarded a car for me to go home safely. Thank goodness no one had the idea that I was the cause of the problem. I got home safely. It was almost a successful day.

     At least we know how to train a goddess. They were both frightened by what happened and I knew because I couldn't hear their voices Athena was emotionally deranged and Kailani hadn't said a word ever since she was thrown out of the river. I needed them to  space, to think and calm down.

       So I kept quiet till we got home. Then I pulled the courage to ask them questions about  what they experienced. "Kailani What did you see while you were under the water? I said I hoped  she would give me an answer "I saw my past, I saw my history, I saw what happened to my people, and what is currently happening to them ....I .

   I want to go back, I want to save them, I want to take revenge for what they did to my mother and my father, I want to keep the promise I made to lady nalu. She was the lady calling out to me.

      To help her she was chased out of the river when the king figured out she helped me escape death,and now she lives among us Reth… she said through clenched teeth and fist, I could see anger in her eyes.

   …..please help me find out before the king does she has been concealing her whereabouts but I know with your help I could find her I just want this to be over then I can live a normal life,the  thought of a lady nalu  being among Us gives me hope that one day I will look back and say "this is over at last".

      Did you figure out any other power? I asked "yes I could breathe perfectly underwater. I could see perfectly. I could control the object beneath the river, without touching them,  but I didn't grow a tail. I have no idea why but I know I have made progress and we can always try another day.

     I was relieved that Kailani made progress. I looked at Athena, she hasn't said a word but I can't keep looking at her and ignoring her pain, " Athena,  we would figure this out, what did you see, while you control the river?".

       she shifted on the bed and I knew she was uncomfortable I could see golden drop of tears falling from my eyes " Athena please speak to us"

    Reth,  I saw nothing. I was controlled by rage. I had the urge to destroy everything, I had the urge to make everything work and I guess I did.

     I just feel like a loser. I am the heir to the throne and my people ,I can't do anything to save them. I am just useless
