Chapter 78

        He left my hand, and I took the picture. I was amazed to see a lady in the picture. She looks just like me but a younger version of me. I was amazed. Is this why he calls me happy? I couldn't tell the difference she has the same smile the same face nose hair even the same name but I guess I am answering the South African version of my name

       I looked at the man before me. He was so pleased he had a smile on his face. I guess I am breaking his heart. I am not his happy neither am I his joy. I am just a rethabile 16 year old who was forced to stay in an asylum.

      It is just a coincidence that I happen to resemble his lover. I was confused whether I should be happy or afraid. " You look beautiful."Raymond said I guess he still thinks I am his late girlfriend.

       "Thank you" I replied I guess in order to keep him sane, I have to act like he's lovely happy "come.. come sit with me" he said,I shakingly walking towards me my head was running a 1,000-mile.

       what I hurt him if I tell him that I am not his happy he would be devastated he might end up with a serious mental problem,more worse than his current situation, maybe I should just help him, I don't want to be the reason he gives up on life

    Maybe I have to play the role till he feels better about himself then I can tell him I am just an imposter who happened to be in the same cell with him maybe that's why James kept me here with him

       I might heal him. I hope I do. I really want to heal him. Staying in an asylum isn't his fault, neither is it my fault or the fault of his girlfriend.

        "So are we on another mission" Athena who was feeding on my thoughts said "I guess we are" I replied "as a day passes by we are accomplishing everything we want but as we are here let's help this gentleman get over the feeling of loneliness he must be feeling his alone in this world and incapable of starting again but I can prove to him that there's love out there and his girlfriend is happy wherever she is" I said 

     " Reth do you know you are a nice person" Kailani said, I flushed that's the sweetest thing she had said " thank you' it wasn't the first time she's telling me neither is it going to be the last but Raymond helped me when I needed advice.

        He was the reason I came back to apologize even when I was overwhelmed by guilt and self hatred . He made me believe that I should take Life by its horn and not wait to be taken down by the beast. I am very glad to help him,now that he needs my help

        Raymond wouldn't let me out of his sight for a second, he even made me stay on the same bed with him, which was the most uncomfortable thing to do, but I was being encouraged to do so by Athena and kailani, while they were giggling.

       I hope he doesn't make attempt to have sex with me, I would run away from the cell, he held me close to his body, as he slept peacefully it was the weirdest night ever, but I slept off eventually, I was woken up from sleep, by a knock on the iron cell gate

     " Time to take you bath, and your drugs" the woman said, I woke up, then I looked at the man beside me, he hasn't woken up yet, the woman kept looking at me, for reasons best known to her," is Raymond still sleeping" she said..

… Well that's an odd question to ask, " Raymond has never slept till this time" she said as she checked the wrist watch on his hand, " really, he slept yesterday" I said, the woman looked at me, with her eyes popping out like she saw a ghost.

    " Wow, Raymond never sleeps, he keeps crying, never sleeps, we have to inject him or give him pills so he can sleep, after the accident of his girlfriend he ends up crying late at night. It is quite disturbing to hear or see a grown man cry in the middle of the night" the woman said.

     It was my turn to be amazed,I was left speechless, " I know you also passed through the rejection and heartbreak but your situation is not as critical as his,so please now that you are still sane, listen to me, take care of him,like a mother will take care of her child" 

     The woman concluded before she left the cell, I turned back to the man who was just waking up, I walked to where he slept, and as he saw me he smiled. He looked so beautiful when he smiled. " Good morning my love," he said as he dragged me in for a hug.

    I guess I will be showered with love in my cell, " reth has a boyfriend!" Kailani yelled, I flinched immediately. I heard a voice. It was the first time this morning hearing her voice and this is what she has to say.

       " Good morning," I replied to Raymond. He was very reluctant to get up from the bed. " Time to bathe" I said to Raymond, he looked at me with those beautiful eyes, " do you want to bathe with me?" He said, I swallowed hard, shit how do I cope with this.

     " I no you don't want to, was just joking with you. '' Raymond said again and I finally let out the air I had been holding for so long. The guard woman came again and she saw me and Raymond in the same position.

    She cleared her throat and we were distracted, I could help but look at him. He is so cute, " Reth are you falling for him?
