THE DEMON SURVEY

"Lucinda," he called, and I turned to him.

"Take this, I want you to answer this survey for me," he said, giving me a paper.

"What’s the survey about?" I asked, looking at the paper.

"it’s our new project I just want you to review it, don’t get me wrong you are not the only one i am giving this." he said looking away

"Okay, I said, and walked to my office with the paper.

"What is he thinking, I wish I could read minds," I said, and opened the survey.

The first question was ridiculous. It was "what is the name of the guardian of Earth?" Who doesn’t know the answer? it’s Deacon. I know a normal human won’t know this answer, and the next one was "where is he now?" I should pretend I don’t know the answer to this question. It felt like someone was interrogating me.

"who is his mortal enemy, Is this a survey or an attempt to elicit information from me?" I look at my boss, and he looked away immediately.

Something is fishy. I glanced at all the questions and the last question was, where can you get sapphire. The answer is hell, but what if I act dumb. It’s no longer in existence. I write and bite the pen.

"Are you, though?" he asked in a deep and curious tone.

"No, I reply, spinning my chair. Is this some kind of a demon test, These are the things only a demon would know, Is he trying to know if I am a demon, I should answer the questions like a dumb human. I came across another question: Is  there an afterlife? Hmm, I also don’t know the answer to this question.

I finish answering the question and walk to him. He smiled and took the paper from me, I continue standing and he looked at me.

"You can go, Deacon's food will be delivered shortly," he said, and disappeared with the paper.

Is he going to see someone?

Ralph appeared at the gate of Deacon with the paper.

He knocked on the gate and Deacon opens it, flying out, Ralph stood close to him.

"This is the survey," he said, lifting the paper to Deacon.

"Before you start reading, where is my food?" He asked

"You are thinking about food at this time." Ralph lamented

"I won’t listen if you don’t get my food, I wasn’t the one suspecting her." Deacon said and Ralph grunted.

"Alright, wait here, I already gave her your food, i will go get it." Ralph said, and put the paper on the floor and disappeared back into his office. He walked quickly to Lucinda.

"Where is Deacon’s food?" he asked.

"Is there a problem? I was just about to go give him." She muttered.

"No need, I will do it myself today," he said, and Lucinda gave him the bag and he disappeared.

"wow I wish I can use my powers like him." Lucinda grinned putting her head on the table.
