TRUST ISSUES

Ralph placed Deacon’s food in front of him and he started eating.

After Deacon finished eating, he breathed fire and Ralph quickly took the paper.

"What are you doing? Are you trying to destroy the survey?" Ralph asked coldly.

"Chill, you are stressing yourself too much. No wonder no woman has ever liked you or come close to you," Deacon stated.

"I have greater things to think about than women," he said.

"Is that why you are suspecting innocent Lucinda?" Deacon asked

"stop talking and listen to the survey, the first question is who is the guardian of Earth

"Give me a break. She knows it’s me since we told her." Deacon stated

"she got the answer right but that doesn’t mean we told her everything in the survey.

Ralph continued reading the survey and paused

"You see, she is innocent. She answers the questions she knows correctly and the ones she doesn’t know, she writes what she thinks will be the answer and those questions she got correctly, we already told her."

"But we told her sapphires are in hell." Ralph said

"What exactly did she write?" Deacon asked.

"She writes it’s no longer in existence," he muttered

"she is correct in a way, so can you leave I need to meditate I think you have trust issues." Deacon stated

"I don’t have trust issues, I'm just following my instincts," he replied.

"You may leave now, instinct follower," Deacon said, flying back into the gate.

Ralph’s eyes changed to red, and he disappeared back into his office and called Lucinda.

She walked over to him.

He threw the paper on the table with force, and Lucinda became frightened.

"What was that you answered." he ask coldly with his eyes burning in fury

"I write what I think the answer is Lucinda reply in fear.

"Are you sure?" he asked, walking closer to her as she walked back slowly.

"Are you sure you are not lying to me." he said moving closer to her she rested her back on the wall closing her eyes in fear as he stood close to her.

"I am not lying," she muttered, looking away. He touched her face and she opened her eyes slowly.

"The way you look, the way your eyes are, the way your hair makes me think you are not just a normal human," he said, breathing on her face.

"I have no reason to lie to you she said and he let go of her and walk back to his desk. Lucinda ran outside his office and ran into the bathroom.

She stood in front of the mirror, breathing continuously.

                                                                   Lucinda's Point of View

How am I going to kill someone like him, when he already suspects me. I need to stay away from him now.

I looked at my face in the mirror. What’s with my skin that makes everyone suspect me? I know my eyes aren’t like humans. Maybe I shouldn’t have taken this mission in the first place. Humans are ruthless. My love for the earth has gotten me into a big mess.
