"What happened to your hand?" He asked, staring at the injury.

"I fell," she muttered, and at that moment, he felt that something was definitely wrong.

She tried to take her hand, and he tightened his grip on her hand.

"Did we perhaps see it last night?" He asked, raising questioning eyebrows at her.

"No I don’t remember going anywhere last night," she replied and he stood up immediately and put his face closer to hers with their lips almost touching, he looked at her with his eyes burning with fury.

"I hope you aren’t lying to me," he stated, and Lucinda walked in on them. From her angle, it was as if they were kissing. She put her hand on her face immediately. Ralph saw her and let go of Barbie’s hand.

"I will just come back," Lucinda said, trying to leave.

"No need to go, it’s nothing serious," he added, and Barbie quickly ran out of the office with her face red.

Ralph sat back and opened some files. Lucinda walked to his desk with her hand folded. She stood looking at him with her upper lip pulled up in disgust, and Ralph looked up at her.

"What do you want?" He asked, raising a brow.

"Actually, I wanted to ask if we were going to go look for a horn or not?" she asked.

"I don’t think so," he said, and his phone rang. He looked at the caller and handed the phone to Lucinda, but she refused to take the phone from him, looking at him in a confused way.

"Answer it! He snapped.

"But sir, I don’t know what to say," she said, and he glared at her. She sighed and took the phone from him.

"Hello," she muttered.

"Sir, there is a crisis there is a demon trying to burn a couple alive on Midtown Road," the caller said.

"Okay, thanks for the information," Lucinda muttered gently.

"Wait a minute, who are you and where is our boss?" he asked.

"He is not available at the moment. I will inform him when he gets back," she said, and hung up.

"So what is the matter?" Ralph asked, glancing at a file.

"There is a couple that needs our help. A demon is trying to burn them alive on Midtown Road," she added.

"Okay, go back to your seat." he scoffed.

"Why should I? Shouldn’t we be trying to help the couple?" She asked, and he dropped his file and gave her a dangerous glare with his glowing green eyes.

"We ain’t superman and wonder woman, are we?" He asked.

"We aren’t super or whatever, but we can’t just stay idle and watch people die," she stated with a frown.

"Lucinda, the truth is we can’t save everyone from danger; we have our own dreams and goals to think about," he replied.

"I know, but we have to save them," she added.

"We can’t save everyone, can we?" He asked, looking back at his file.

"Why are you acting selfish?"
