"Yesterday, right before my eyes, a demon took it. Yesterday was quite a busy day, I must say."
"I know your husband wouldn’t let Ralph win," Medusa stated.
"He sure has his own way of doing things, but Ralph was furious yesterday. His eyes were blue throughout the day," Lucinda said.
"He must have been hurt," Medusa stated softly.
"Yea he was extremely hurt you know I have to go now something tells me we also have a lot to handle today," Lucinda said, walking out of the house.
"Okay, see you soon." Medusa waved as she watched Lucinda leave the house and lay on the bed, staring at her phone.
Lucinda’s POV
I arrived at the office and stared at Ralph’s chair.
"He is not here yet," I said, moving to his table, and he appeared right before my eyes.
"Oh my god, you nearly gave me a heart attack," I remarked.
"Good morning, sorry about that, go and give Deacon his food," he said, backing me up.
I grabbed his bag of meat and attempted to leave.
"Lucinda, did you by any chance follow me to a bar yesterday?" He asked.
"Why would I follow you to a bar? I asked, battling my lashes.
"Just answer my question!" He snapped.
"No, I didn’t, I went straight home," I replied, rolling my eyes. He was mad.
"That’s strange. I thought I saw a woman. I just can’t remember," he said, putting his hand on his head.
"Sir, is there any problem? I ask, gazing into his eyes. He looked up at me and we lock eyes.
"No problem, you're free to go," he said.
I entered the hole and jumped across the lava and landed in front of the gate. I beat the gate and Deacon flew out of the gate and landed in front of me.
I dropped the meat in front of him.
"Welcome Lucinda," he remarked eating the meat
" Hi, Deacon," I stated, waving my hand.
"So what are you and Ralph planning to do today?" he asked.
"I don’t know if we are going to try looking for another horn, but I think something is troubling him," I said, and Deacon breathed out fire from his nose.
"He is just angry that he lost the horn, he will soon come around." Deacon stated, and we walked out of the cave.
Author's pov
Ralph sat in his office, meditating with his eyes closed, when suddenly he heard the door open. He opened his eyes slowly and turns around, and his gaze lands on Barbie as she strolled in carrying a bunch of files.
"Good morning, sir." she greeted
"Morning," Ralph said, narrowing his eyes at her.
"Where is Lucinda? I need to give her these files to review," she stated.
"Come and drop it here," Ralph said, tapping the side of his table. She walked majestically to his desk and dropped the file, and Ralph spotted a small injury on her wrist. He held her hand immediately.
