Going to the cinema

Lucinda used her eyes to scan everywhere, and Nathan noticed it.

"What are you looking for?" he asked curiously.

"Are we going to walk? Didn’t you bring your car?" She asked

"No, I didn’t bring it walking can be fun, you know," he said, walking slowly with her.

"I hate walking It stresses my beautiful leg that’s why most times I fl…. she paused.

"You what?" he asked, raising questioning eyebrows.

"It’s nothing," she replied, and continued walking with him.

"Do you know where we are going?" he asked, putting his hand in his pocket.

"How will I know?" she asked, rolling her eyes and moving slowly.

"We are going to the cinema to watch a horror movie." He grinned.

"What’s a horror movie?" she asked, clueless.

"A horror movie is like a scary movie; it will make you feel all sorts of emotions such as fear, curiosity, and so on," he stated with a smirk.

"And why do you want to watch it with me?" She asked, looking keenly at him.

"I like watching horror movies but no one wants to watch it with me, I would have taken you to my house instead, but we are just getting to know each other," He stated, staring into her eyes, and she locked eyes with him.

"Don’t you have friends?" she asked bluntly.

"I do have friends, but they are all after their own interests, and don’t worry, don’t be scared, I will protect you when we are watching the film," he said, smiling, Lucinda glared at him.

"Protect who me nah!! I don’t think so," she muttered with a pout.

"You're acting fearless in front of me, and I know that movie will reveal your true colors," he said, as she bit her lower lip strangely and stared at him.

                                                                    Lucinda POV

We started walking to the cinema, I haven’t been to a cinema before and I hate walking. Why walk, when you have a car? Some humans, like Nathan, don’t know the purpose of a car.

Suddenly, I saw a woman on the road screaming, and a man approached her and tossed her to the floor.

"You thief, you always steal all my money and today I will teach you a lesson." The man said as he dragged her by her hair on the floor. My blood is boiling right now, why would humans maltreat each other like this? no wonder my husband told me humans are cruel.

"Lucy! Lucy!" Nathan said, poking me as I stared at the man. He was about to hit the woman on the head with a chair.

I walk away from Nathan. It was as if something was controlling me. I couldn’t just stand and watch like Nathan.

"Lucinda, where are you going? Don’t intervene it's between a husband and a wife," he stated, and I looked back at him.

"Husband and wife, does that mean I will just stand here and watch him murder his wife?" I asked as I approached him.

I ran with speed and grabbed the chair just in time.
