"Lucy, you haven’t told me about your family," he said, and she put her hand on his face.
"Please let’s talk about that some other time," she said, and he looked away.
The car stopped in front of Lucinda’s house, and she got out of the car. and strive to walk away.
"Aren’t you going to kiss me goodbye? He asked, and she blew saliva in his face with her tongue.
"No" she stated slowly, and the car drove away. Nathan waved at her from inside the car, and she glared at him and walked into the building.
At Ralph’s house
He is half-naked, dragging a map on the floor of his house with a giant pen and ruler. He finished drawing the map and folded it, he stroked his hair backwards and took his phone from his bed.
"I wonder how she is doing," he said, trying to dial Lucinda’s number.
"No, I shouldn’t disturb her, I will just text her." he said, sending a "Hi" text to her.
He grabbed a blue towel from his couch and used it to clean his sweaty face.
Just then, his phone rang.
"Hello sir," the person stated politely.
"Why are you calling me at this time of the day?" he snapped.
"I am sorry, sir, but Deacon really wanted to speak with you." The person said calmly
"Alright, put the phone on speaker," he commanded.
"Hey, Ralph, so how is the project going? That’s the thing that interests me the most." Deacon stated.
"I know, but I haven’t managed to get the last ingredient," Ralph replied.
"And which is?" Deacon asked
"The Demon’s horn," he replied.
"You can go and get it tomorrow with Lucinda." Deacon remarked.
"Come on, tomorrow is Sunday do you expect her to work every day of the week?" Ralph said.
"Okay, if you say so, but I think there will be demons lurking around tomorrow you just need to lay your hands on one."
"I can’t do it alone I need a partner," he stated coldly.
"Ralph, you know you are full of surprises when you haven’t known Lucinda you used to boast about working alone, but now that she is here, you have seen the benefit of having a partner." Deacon remarked in a deep voice.
"You are right, and the things I couldn’t achieve alone, I think having a partner will help me achieve it," he said.
"Come tomorrow, I will be your partner, but you will have to look out for me too I will just be a distraction you know, fire doesn’t harm demons." Deacon remarked.
"I know that’s why we need to finish this project so we will have the upper hand." Ralph Reasoned
"Okay, tomorrow then." Deacon added, and Ralph hung up the phone. He went down and started doing push-ups with his muscles exposed and his veins visible.
The next day,
At Ralph's house.
The alarm buzzes, and he used his hand to turn it off. He got down from the bed and looked at his phone.
"It’s time," he muttered and came across Lucinda’s message on his phone. He smiled and texted her back.
