"I don’t know, but we have to try and I don’t think I can teleport in here." He said, closing his eyes. He opened his eyes and looked at me.
"You see? I can’t teleport, he stated bluntly, and looked at his hand. maybe he wanted to bring out something from his hand. he stood on the ground and started waving his hand in the air. and demonstrating as if he wanted to blast someone.
"And I am powerless in his world." He said, and stood up with a frown.
"What do you expect? This is not our world." I said and dropped the flower on the floor as Ralph continued walking away. I think he was trying to trace where the sound was coming from. I need to find out if I still have powers here.
I tried to control my hair and it worked. I made sure Ralph didn’t know I was still behind him and tried to bring out my wings. But it didn’t work. I tried to levitate the flower, but it didn’t work.
"Lucinda!" Ralph called out to me and his voice echoed. It was as if we were the only ones here.
I stand straight and smile widely at him.
"Come here." He commanded and I ran to him. He put his hand around my shoulder. I turned my head to look at him and our lips almost touched. I tried to remove his hand from my shoulder, but it was too strong for me.
"I don’t want you out of my sight." He said, and we started walking away.
Author’s POV
They came across a field that was filled with sunflowers, and the sound started getting closer.
"I wonder who is singing, the person’s voice is so terrible." Ralph remarked.
"I know, right, my ears are literally bleeding." Lucinda added, and Ralph removed his hand from her shoulder as he sighted a faun, a half human, half ghost. He was swimming in the river. Lucinda's mouth started to water as she saw the water. She was so tasty that she didn’t mind that there was a faun in the river; she wanted to drink the water.
She was trying to walk closer to the river when Ralph held her hand and pulled her back.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"To drink water, I am thirsty." She replied.
"Can’t you see there is someone in the water." He said. And her eyes landed on the Faun. It was as if she didn’t see him at first because she was only seeing the water because she was very thirsty.
"What the fuck is that? She asked with her mouth hanging loosely.
"That is a faun." Ralph replied.
"OMG it’s so creepy and he is swimming in the water, I can’t believe I tried to drink the water, yack," she said and spat on the floor.
"Don’t waste your saliva, you will need it." He remarked and turned to look at the faun and found him standing in front of them.
