"Just use it, or do you want me to take it back?" Medusa inquired.

"No, thank you." He beamed as he put on the mask, hanging the rope in his ears. 

"This noodle is too good." Lucinda commented, making an okay sign with her hand. 

"So shall we go?" Medusa inquired.

Nathan gives Lucinda the signal to speak up.

Lucinda screwed up her face and took the glass of water from the table and gulped it down.

"I am going with him." She announced as she dropped the glass on the table.

"What made you change your mind?" Medusa inquired, raising a brow.

Lucinda ran over to her and started pushing her towards the bedroom. direction.

"You don't have to stress yourself he is my friend I will go with him, you have to think of how to wake up early tomorrow for the mission." Lucinda whispered in her ear.

"Take care and come home as soon as it is done, okay?" Medusa stated.

"I will, mom." Lucinda whined as she entered the bedroom.

"Let's go." Nathan stated, extending his hand to her.

She hit his hand off.

"I can't hold your hand you are not my boyfriend." She scoffed as she started walking ahead of him. 

They both walked out of the building together, and Lucinda bent down with her hands on her knee

"What the time?" She asked bluntly.

"I don't know, but the way the weather is, I think it's 12:00am." He stated her eyes widened.

"It is too late; we can't get a taxi." She complained.

"I know we can't that's why my car is over there." He said, pointing at his car.

Lucinda followed his hand as she eyed his car. She narrowed her eyes at the car.

"I thought you ran here." She stated staring at him in a suspicious way. He smirked.

"They were in a van and I was running with my car." He stated.

"Are, you sure?" She asked, raising her eyebrow, although she thought he was lying because his lips were trembling.

"Let's go quickly so you won't be late for work." He declared Walking ahead of her, he opened the door of the car and hopped in as he put on his seat belt.

Lucinda sat beside him and also fastened her seat belt as he drove off.

Minutes later.

After driving for a few minutes, Lucinda started feeling sleepy as she yawned and turned to look at Nathan, who was looking at her with side eyes and sweat forming on his forehead.

"Are we there yet?" Lucinda asked bluntly.

"Almost there," he muttered.

Lucinda started suspecting that there was something off about Nathan. First, the car wasn't the one she remembered.

He pulled up in front of a hotel as he brought out a folded paper from his pocket.

"Why are we here?" Lucinda asked, looking outside the window.

"I ran out of gas." he replied as he opened the paper and blew powder into her eyes.

Lucinda started coughing as she inhaled the powder and passed out.
