He started the car and drove her to a haunted house with a German Shepherd at the gate who was barking continuously.
He opened the car and carried Lucinda out in his arms.
He was walking towards the entrance of the house with her. He stood at the front door, he dropped Lucinda on her feet as he held her closer to him with one hand, and started knocking on the door in a way that seemed like he was following a rhythm.
The door flew open as a man in a suit approached, with two men by his side who were carrying hockey sticks.
"Are you sure this is her?" The man in the suit asked the other men. He was their leader.
"Yes, she was the one that attacked us in the morning." They chorused as one of them attempted to take Lucinda from Nathan, who refused to let go of her.
"Let her go, young man, didn't I tell you not to allow your emotions to get in the way?" The leader asked harshly.
Nathan was terrified, with sweat forming on his forehead as he held Lucinda firmly.
"You haven't freed my sister yet." Nathan stated, avoiding his gaze.
"Go and bring his sister." The leader stated, staring at one of the men who ran into a room.
"Now that he is bringing your sister, hand over the girl." The leader stated.
"Lucinda, I am sorry." Nathan muttered, staring at her. Hot tears started falling down his pale cheeks.
"I can't trust you till he brings my sister." Nathan protested.
The leader frowned and brought out his gun from his pocket as he pointed it at Nathan's head.
Nathan's eyes were shaking as he handed over Lucinda to the other man.
"Good boy." The leader remarked as they started walking into the house, ignoring Nathan. He ran after them.
"Where are you going? Where is my sister?" He asked as he sighted his sister. She was a girl in her early teens. She was crying as she ran to him.
He hugged her tightly as she cried on his shoulder.
"I thought I would never see you bro." She muttered as he disengaged from the hug, using his hand to wipe away the tears on her face.
"Didn't I tell you that I would protect you?" He inquired.
"You did," she mumbled.
"Now let's go home." He beamed, holding her hand as he looked back, devastated.
He wanted to help Lucinda, but he had to get his sister to safety first.
"Who was that beautiful lady they had just now?" She inquired.
"She is the girl i told you I was in love with." He muttered with his eyebrows lowered and his hands pulled together. She gasped, putting her hand in her mouth.
"Let's go save her." She stated as they came to a halt.
"Don't worry, I will come back for her, I need to take you to a safe place first they are dangerous people." He muttered.
"I know, so how do you want to save her?" She asked, looking into his eyes.
