Lies 2

"I don't know, maybe she is in the kitchen. Wait, let me go and check," Ralph muttered, and ambled away.

Lucinda relaxed on the couch and closed her eyes.

"Are you back?" She asked, hoping Lucifer would answer her.

"Yes, I am back." He replied. Hearing this, her heart skipped a beat.

"I am throwing a party tomorrow to celebrate our victory when you kill Ralph in front of us." Lucifer beamed

"Where...where did you hear that?" She stuttered.

"I heard it from Luis and Queen Luna. I am proud of you." He beamed.

"I am glad." She muttered, smiling nervously. She didn't know how she was going to escape this. She thought that Lucifer wouldn't arrive early.

"I will be waiting to accept you back into hell tomorrow, my queen." He muttered.

"Yaay, I am so happy." She muttered ironically and sat up on the chair as Ralph and Mrs. Sliver made their way into the living room. They were both talking.

Mrs. Silver ran to her on the couch and sat beside her, stroking her hair.

"I am so happy that my Ralph decided to allow a girl into his life. Ever since he was young, he hated the idea of getting a girlfriend. He was always busy with one thing or the other." She beamed. Lucinda smiled widely at her and stared at Ralph.

"So what makes you change your mind?" Lucinda muttered, blushing uncontrollably.

"You made me change my mind. I can't afford to lose you to Nathan," Ralph replied bluntly.

"Oh, no wonder you were fast, so you have a rival." Mrs. Silver commented.

"Anytime I see her around him, I would get angry for no reason. That was when I knew that I had started liking her, although I didn't want to think about love because I still haven't managed to achieve my goals yet." He beamed.

Lucinda's cheek turned bright red. Mrs. Sliver held her hand, staring into her eyes.

"Please, I want you to stay with my son, and promise me you won't break his heart. You are his first love and also the first girl he decided to date." Mrs. Silver muttered.

"No wonder he is not romantic," Lucinda muttered under her breath.

"Huh, what did you say?" Mrs. Sliver questioned.

"Nothing, I promise not to break his heart." Lucinda beamed.

"Nice to meet you. You are so beautiful. When I first saw you, I was surprised. How can a human be this beautiful? Are you sure you are not an angel?" Mrs. Sliver inquired.

"Of course not," Lucinda scoffed.

"Can I hug you?" Mrs. Sliver inquired.

"Yes, sure?" Lucinda mumbled. Mrs. Sliver pulled her into an embrace, hugging her tightly. Lucinda felt warm and secure in her arms. She felt that motherly love she never got.

Mrs. Sliver pulled away from the hug, sobbing continuously. Ralph and Lucinda were stunned, staring at her.

"What the is matter, mom? Why are you crying?" Ralph inquired in a worried tone.

Lucinda used her hand to wipe the tears from her eyes.
