Lies 3

She felt a cut in her heart seeing Mrs. Sliver crying and hugged her one more time.

Mrs. Sliver pulled away from the hug, taking a handkerchief from Ralph.

"Why are you crying, mom?" Lucinda asked, thinking she might be crying because Ralph had finally decided to have a girlfriend.

"I was just remembering my daughter." Mrs. Silver muttered.

"Your daughter, what happened to her?" Lucinda inquired and turned to Ralph.

"So you have a sister and you didn't tell me." She scowled, glaring at him.

"The thing is, I am not actually her biological son, I was abducted. She is talking about her daughter, whom she lost to a monster whose description I can't seem to understand," Ralph muttered.

Lucinda was stunned, so Ralph wasn't in her blood, but seeing their chemistry was hard to believe.

"Who kidnapped your daughter? Can you perhaps tell me if I might have seen the monster?" Lucinda inquired.

"I don't quite remember his face. It's been over 20 years now. My daughter will be 21 in a few days. The monster abducted her the night I gave birth to her. He was huge, tall, and..." Mrs Silver couldn't complete her sentence when Lucifer made Lucinda pass out.

She collapsed on the couch.

"Lucinda, are you okay?" Ralph inquired, touching her face, but she didn't respond.

"What happened? Why did she faint?" Mrs. Sliver asked, staring at Ralph, who was tapping Lucinda with a worried expression on his face.

"Go get water," Ralph commanded.

"Oh, okay." She muttered and ran to the kitchen.

Ralph held Lucinda's hand and stared at her.

He put his hand on her forehead to check if she had a fever.

Mrs. Sliver ran into the house and gave him a glass of water. He poured water on his hand and splashed it on her face.

"Do you think this will work?" Mrs. Sliver asked, pressing her phone.

"Let me call a doctor." She added.

"Wait, I think she is waking up," Ralph murmured, staring at Lucinda.

Her eyebrows rose and fell. She opened her eyes and sat up on the couch, holding her head.

"What happened?" She asked

"You blacked out when we were talking about my lost daughter." Mrs. Silver replied.

"Okay," Lucinda muttered absentmindedly, though she didn't remember what they were talking about.

"Did you perhaps faint because of food? Wait, my mom will make something for you." Ralph beamed, staring at Mrs. Sliver.

"I will go make something for you." She muttered and ambled away.

Ralph sat next to Lucinda on the couch.

"Sorry, I forgot that you said you were hungry. We must have bored you to death with our talk." He apologized.

"No you didn't, but I can't seem to remember anything." She muttered.

"You will remember it transpires sometimes we just seem to forget things easily." He grinned, staring at her lips, and slammed his lips on her, kissing her softly as his hand traveled down her body.

"Eh hem." Mrs. Silver cleared her throat, standing in front of them with a tray of food.
