"Let go of my cheek," Lucinda muttered
"Oh, sorry, what happened to your eyes?" he inquired. Lucinda sighed.
"It turns out I have been wearing contact lenses my whole life, so this is my real eye colour." She replied.
"Really? So I don’t know anything about you. No wonder I thought your eye colour was weird." Ralph muttered, stroking his chin. Her eye colour was a mixture of red and purple.
"I just hide it so I don’t attract a lot of people with my beauty." She muttered.
"Continue praising yourself. Let’s go grab a bite." He stated and put his hand around her shoulder.
Lucinda was about to speak when her phone started ringing in her pocket. Ralph let go of her and watched her as she brought out her phone from her pocket and stared at the caller. Ralph looked at the caller to make sure it was not Nathan.
"Hello," Lucinda muttered.
"Where are you, birthday girl? Come to Hudson’s house." Medusa stated.
"To do what?" Lucinda inquired.
"To party, of course." Medusa inquired.
"I have had enough parties for today. I just want to relax and spend quality time with Ralph." Lucinda muttered.
"Alright, suit yourself," Medusa replied and hung up.
"You made a good choice. Let’s go." Ralph muttered, extending his hand to her.
"I will have to get used to your new eye colour." He added and stopped a taxi. They both got into the taxi and it drove off.
Minutes later.
They both arrived at a restaurant and stepped out of the taxi. Ralph paid the driver and started walking into the restaurant with Lucinda when a waiter stopped them at the entrance.
"Sorry sir, this restaurant is closed." The waiter stated.
"What do you mean, closed? But someone is inside." Ralph muttered, stretching his neck to look at who was inside.
"The restaurant is fully booked." The waiter replied.
"You should have said that earlier." Lucinda muttered, and her stomach growled.
"Is there any other restaurant nearby?" Ralph inquired.
"No, sir, just a bar." The waiter replied, pointing at the bar that was next to the restaurant.
"Let’s go there," Lucinda muttered.
"How can we go there? Are we going to drink alcohol?" he snapped.
Lucinda sighed and stood there with him when the rain started falling. It came unexpectedly and there was no place to go except to run into the restaurant.
Ralph put his hand above his head and held tightly to Lucinda’s hand, pushing the waiter out of the way. The waiter fell to the ground as they ran into the restaurant.
Ralph locked the door of the restaurant and threw away the key. They both walked into the restaurant, they wanted to sit on an empty chair when they noticed a group of men wearing black overalls and black hats.
There was a man in the middle whose black hat had a white feather at the side, and one of them whispered in his ear as they sighted Lucinda and Ralph. He put his hand in the air and snapped his finger.
