The shark smiled at her, floating on top of the water, waiting for her to come to him.
Lucinda arrived at the edge of the beach. She jumped toward the shark and targeted his stomach. She set her sword to stab him when he grabbed her leg with his razor-sharp teeth. His teeth were digging into her skin. Lucinda used her sword to cut his teeth off her leg and teleported to his back, holding onto his horn.
The shark started spinning in an attempt to get Lucinda off his back.
Ralph's eyes were spinning in the belly of the shark. He was moving with the object in his stomach still holding tightly to his sword when a giant wall clock started approaching him. He was slowly losing oxygen in there. He used his leg to hit the clock away.
He flew to the surface where the water level was low and stuck out his nose, breathing continuously. Wondering if Lucinda was the one making the shark go crazy.
He was breathing heavily on the surface as the water slowly overtook his head.
Lucinda started trying to cut the shark open, but he refused to stay still. She managed to stab him with her sword and blood started pumping out of his back. To Lucinda's greatest surprise, the shark grew bigger and his body became slippery. She flew off his back and landed in the water. He started chasing her in the water. She teleported back to the beach, breathing continuously. Her heart was struggling to come out of her chest.
She thought she could still save Ralph as he wasn't eaten by the shark.
Ralph was trying to teleport out of the belly of the shark, but it was useless. Lucinda also tried to teleport to him, but it didn't work.
She lay on the hot sand, trying and failing. Sweat was forming on her forehead as she stared into thin air.
The sun went down, leaving the sky empty and cloudy.
Ralph was pushing his sword into the skin of the shark. The shark started getting a tingling feeling in his stomach and wanted to throw up. All the water started going in the direction of his mouth, including Ralph.
Lucinda opened her eyes and saw the lifeguard in front of her.
"Ahhh! She is still alive." He screamed, running away from her.
She sighed and got up from the ground. She must have fallen asleep.
She looked at the beach. The water started shaking.
The lifeguard stood afar, his knees wobbling. He thought Lucinda was a ghost. When Ralph
flew out of the water and landed on the edge of the beach, the shark wanted to grab his leg when Lucinda pulled him away from the water immediately.
"Honeybun, are you okay?" She asked, looking down at him. She stroked his hair and realized his body was slimy like that of a frog.
He started coughing out water and stood up.
"I am fine." He said in a soft tone. Water started coming out of Lucinda's eyes. She hugged him with passion and love written all over her eyes.
Author's note
I have been using dramatic irony for a long time where you people know more than the characters. For the case of Ralph not knowing Medusa is a demon, I wanted to make it known to you guys later because I am the all-knowing in this story. Without taking your time to read further, someone came to write trash in my review. I don't know how she was able to write such a long message, but it's not everything that you must know!! I am sick and someone is making me angry. 🤬. And oh yes, there are still some secrets you guys don't know about. The book has been edited now, I have decided not to look at reviews anymore 🤒
