" i think there is a little problem" Javier said to the person at the other end of the phone call.
"Before you say anything, Hattie is gone" Bella blurted out
"I know, she is right here with me"
"What, She is?. Isn't that dangerous?"
"I thought so myself but right now I'm confused"
"Why did she leave here?"
"Apparently she found her mother's picture in your room"
"Her mother's picture? I don't even know Hattie so why would I have her mother's picture in my room"
Javier breathed in as he blurted out.
"Agatha is Hattie's mother"
"What kind of joke is that?" Bella asked dumbstruck.
"I was as surprised as you are right now, when I found out"
"That can't be possible"
"Sadly it is"
"Oh my, is that why I sensed a strange energy omitting from her?"
"That could be the possible explanation"
"Am sure that is why Andrew is after her life. If the Cartels ever find out about this, then hattie is as good as dead
"That is my biggest fear"
"Does she know?"
"Of course not, I couldn't even bring myself to tell her. But I have to come up with something because she would get suspicious along the way"
"Wow that's a twist? who would have ever thought that Hattie was Agatha's seed"
"And the poor girl loves her mother so much, she doesn't even know what she did and I'm sure Agatha was very good at pretending to her"
"You have to think of a way to protect her but how long are you going to protect her from the Andrew and most importantly, the Cartels. They will most definitely find out one day and even if they don't Andrew is ready to take action any moment from now"
"I have never been in a more complicated situation before" Javier groaned in frustration
"And you think I have?"
"One more thing, I was in season when Hattie came to my house last night and I did not kill her. Why do you think that happened?"
"You see, that was why I was surprised when you said she was at your house, still alive"
"Yeah it's kind of very confusing"
"What do you think happened?"
"I don't know I woke up this morning with a slight amnesia"
"She must have calmed you down"
"But you And I know that is impossible"
"Well that is the logical explanation for all of this. There is no way she could have fought you, so the only thing that she had probably done was to calm you down or run away and I guess it worked"
"I would never have forgiven myself if had done anything to her"
"Now I need you to transfer that same energy into how we are going to sort this problem out because it won't take long before the truth gets out"
Javier was still on the phone when he heard Hattie walking into the living room where he was, she looked all dressed up and he wondered where she was heading to.
"Bella I would call you back, I need to attend to something" he said as he ended the call.
"Are you going out?" He asked Hattie who was now standing in front of him.
"No I came to inform you that I am leaving, for good"
"Leaving, Why?"
"The only reason I was staying here was because I was badly injured and now I am perfectly fine, so I think I should be going now" she lied, of course that was not the only reason she was staying there. She stayed there because she felt happy and safe under his watch.
"You know you can't just leave like that. Right?"
"And why is that?"
Javier knew that it will more than dangerous for her to leave his sight now that he had found out why Andrew is after her. He feared what Andrew would do to her if you ever got his hands on her and Javier was not ready to risk it.
"Do you realise how dangerous. . ."
"Trust me Javier, I have thought about it but I can't continue to stay here, it's not like we are entitled to each other. We are not even friends, we are nothing. So I thought about it and there's no point of me staying here" Hattie blurted out.
Javier stood up from where he was sitting and he started walking towards her, he stopped in front of her and she forgot how to breathe. His peering eyes bored holes into her body as she shifted uncomfortably. He kept coming closer, even though he was already 1 ft away from her. She started moving backwards slowly, her heart was beating so fast that she could hear it. This man had a lot of effect on her and that was one of the reason she wanted to leave, she did not want to fall in love with him and he will end up breaking her heart.
Javier Stopped just one inch in front of her, she could feel his hot breath on her face as she swallowed hard. He brought his hands down to her chin as he caressed it slowly which sent shivers down her spine. Then he finally spoke
"And who told you we were nothing" he whispered, he pulled her by the waist towards him. She trembled as her body rested on his hard body frame. For a moment, she forgot how to breath. She looked into his eyes and she couldn't decipher what he was feeling. She wanted to know if he was having and feeling the same spark she felt from within. She became really uncomfortable in the position that she was. She shifted slightly away from him, causing his arms that was wrapped around her waist to fall to his side. He walked back to where he was seated with a mischievous look planted on his face.
"What where.... y... you doing" she stuttered as she adjusted her dress, looking nervously at the herm of her dress.
"What did it look like?" Javier smirked
"Where you going to kiss me? " she bit her lips nervously.
"Did you want me to?"
"No.. no, that's not what I meant" she cursed at how disposed she sounded.
"Of course" he let out another smirk.
"I still want to leave" she said as she squared her shoulder in a bid not to look intimidated.
"And I'm saying, you can't leave"
"I don't care anymore, about all of this"
"Well I do"
"Why do you even care about it?"
"I care about you" Javier paused as soon as he uttered the words out of his mouth. He never intended to say that, it just came out. What was this young lady doing to him. If she was a regular girl, he would have let her go without even giving it a second thought. He wouldn't even let the girl stay in his house for a minute. But here he was hoping and praying that she shouldn't leave. He had always tried to convince himself that the only reason he was so concerned for her safety was because he caused the whole problem and he felt it was the right thing to take responsibly. Now he didn't even know what to think anymore. He wanted her protected but for another reason entirely. He looked at the lady standing in front of him. If she was a witch, he wouldn't doubt because she had already bewitched him. Every thing she did, had an effect on him, the way she frowned her face when she was angered, the way she always pouted her lips whenever she was in confusion, how innocent she was, how stubborn she was. He wondered why all these things had an effect on him.
"What do you mean by that?" Hattie asked puzzled.
"I meant I care about your safety" Javier said trying to convince Hattie and also himself that that was what he really meant.
Hattie was really surprised when she had those four words. She never expected it to come from Javier because he always seemed like the nonchalant type. She wondered what had triggered him into saying that. She could already feel the butterflies in her stomach and her skin tingle at the mention of those words.
"I still want to leave" she blurted out trying to proof stubborn. As much as she wanted to stay, she couldn't. She felt too restricted and two controlled. Hattie never liked the idea of being dependent, and going to her house was a very good choice. It's not like her and Javea where an item.
"Why do you want to leave so badly?"
"And why do you want me to stay so badly"?
"Because you are already a part of me and you can't just walk out like that" Javea said and he really meant what he said.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Oh Hattie, don't pretend as if you don't know what I am talking about" he smirked as he walked towards her again. She knew what was coming as her heartbeat accelerated again. He looked at her intensely as he got close to where she was, she moved backwards until her back hit the wall and she was trapped. Javier with a little smile on his face work to her and pressed his body against her, pinning her more closely to the wall and also to himself. He he placed his fingers under her chin as he lifted up her face to look at her. He took his thumb and caressed her bottom lip. For a moment hottie forgot how to breathe. He was so close, even closer than he was earlier. She kept looking at his lips as she bit her lips in Hunger for his lips. She shivered as he caressed her bottom lip with his thumbs, slowly but intensely. She looked into his eyes as she was already lost in fantasy. Her body ache and longed for his lips to press against hers. Javier removed his thump from her bottom lips as he drew her face closer to his. She felt his hot breath on her face as he proceeded closer and closer to her. Just as she expected, his lips pressed against hers. He bit her lips Softly and inserted his tongue into her mouth wiggling it gently. Hattie retaliated like a hungry lion. She kissed him back as she placed her hands on his hard chest. She tried her possible best not to moan as the kiss was doing a lot to her body. Javier's hands slipped across her waist as he pushed her more closely towards himself. He gently removed his hand away from her waist as he brought it to her hair and he grabbed a fistful of it. He slowly removed his lips from her lips and placed it on her neck. Hattie erupted and she couldn't help but moan in pleasure. She was still lost in Disneyland when her phone beeped from her side pocket. She thought to ignore it as she proceeded in the pleasure she was feeling.
"I think you should take that" Javier said as he backed away from her.
Her cheeks flushed and embarrassment. She just bloody kissed Javier. She couldn't even tell how she was feeling but she knew she wasn't herself anymore. She reached for her side pocket and she kept glancing at Javier who was now standing by the window looking at the outer view. She mentally face palmed herself. What was she even thinking to have let him kiss her. She most definitely did not like the effect he was having on her. Wesley never had this effect on her, in fact no man ever had this effect on her. But Javier was somehow different. She adjusted her hair and tried to steady her heavy breathing and finally, she answered the call. It was Peter
"Hey Peter" she said she noticed how Javier snapped his head from the window down to her, at the mention of Peter.
"Hello Hattie" Peter said from the other end. "I actually called to apologize for not checking up on you after hearing about the incident. Truth be told I was so busy at work and procrastination just became my bestie"
"It's ok Peter . I had a feeling that something came up and Daphne did say you were busy"
"Yes I was, how are you feeling now anyway?"
"Much better actually, I feel much stronger also better than before"
"Oh that's great news I'm glad you are feeling much better:
"Thanks for the concern though"
"Just before I forget, Daphne said you have finally found a boyfriend" Peter blurted out.
Hattie choked on laughter. Was Daphne referring to Javier, as her boyfriend. How silly was she?. I guess she wanted Hattie to get a boyfriend as soon as possible so she couldn't help but ship her and Javier.
"Oh silly Daphne, don't mind her, there is nothing like that going on right now."
"Oh really? and I was really happy that you finally found someone"
"There is no difference between the both of you, now I see that you guys have a lot in common" Hattie said amidst laughter
"I guess so too but, I have to go now I just wanted to check on you and see how you were doing"
"It's a good thing, you are actually thought about me I really appreciate the effort"
"Anytime Hattie" Peter said as he ended the call.
Hattie slipped the phone back in her pocket and she looked at Javier who was staring intently at her"
"What is it?" she asked Javier
"Why do I have a feeling that you were talking to that annoying guy we met the other night"
"First of all, it is wrong to eavesdrop and second of all, Peter isn't annoying"
"Oh Peter that's his name, how could I ever have forgotten" Javier said sarcastically
"Suit yourself" she rolled her eyes as she folded her arms under her breast
"I don't want you talking with him"
"Excuse me?" Hattie l couldn't help but laugh of how ridiculous the statement was.
"You heard me"
"Oh wait, you are not joking, since when did I belong to you that you can tell me what to do. Look I am a full grown woman and I can decide for myself whether or not I want Peter as my friend and you cannot do anything about it. Did you hear me Mister?"
"How stubborn can you be?"
"As stubborn as you wants me to be "
"You are already overly stubborn"
"But you can't tell me what to do and expect me to do just according to what you said, that is so absurd"
"Whichever way, you will still continue to stay here until I am guaranteed of your safety and I am not taking no for an answer"
"You are too bossy for my liking"
"And you are too stubborn for my liking"
"Look young man being stubborn is much better than being bossy"
"Says who?"
"Says Hattie"
"Yes I figured"
"Why don't we make a little deal. Of course we have to make this deal, if you want me to continue staying in this house or else I'll be out"
"What deal?"
"You have to stop being bossy and I would stay"
"And what about your attitude?"
"What about it?"
"Well you have to drop that too"
"Ok let's do it this way, you have to stop being bossy and if you do, I will stop being stubborn, deal"
"I can live with that, deal"
