Chapter 43

"Its crazy how you were able to pull this off? you must think of yourself as powerful" Agatha snickered, snapping her fingers which echoed all over the dark hall

"Bloody lashedta!" she cursed, turning her head back. She walked casually but fiercely with a a terrifying look on her face. Her voice was different. It was venomous, filled with hate, anger, disdain. She kept on walking slowly in a circular motion until she snapped her head back to Lagatha and she froze

"You've been a really, really, really" she said pointing her index fingers to Lagatha, walking towards her 

"Bad girl" She snickered in front of her.

"You have no idea how hard it is, to get rid of a hyran, do you?" she placed her finger under Lagatha's chin, twisting it to the left side

"Look how small you are, compared to me" She walked away

"You know, I shouldn't have underestimated you. Lashedtas can never be trusted" she turned back at Lagatha who tried to talk but only a mumble was heard

"You want to say something darling?" She chuckled in mockery at the sight of Lagatha trying to speak

"Am afraid you have already said alot, I don't want to hear anymore" she pouted

"Oh my poor Fay, she doesn't even have any idea about this but you chose to get her into this. Let me tell you something, I never for once, regretted killing your daughter, Mabel. It was one of the best moment of my life, drawing life away from her and watching her die" she said with a grin on her face as she watched Lagatha who stood transfixed at a spot, unable to move. The look on Lagatha's face held anger and wrath and Agatha loved it. She was just beginning, the moment she would be able to totally free herself, then the earth would feel her wrath for being trap for over 8 years. 

"You still wanna say something?" She asked, swaying her head to the other side, causing the skin on her left chin to slip off to the floor. She looked at it in the floor and smiled, with her already exposed skeleton. Her teeth were visible, causing blood to pour slowly from the huge opening

"This is what you did to me" Agatha addressed her, pointing at her skin on the floor

"The moment I am whole, I would come back to earth and kill you in the most painful way you can ever imagine" she glared at Lagatha with her already disfigured face

"About your son, Andrew. He has been a naughty little boy. I will make life hell for him before finally killing him. He touched my baby girl" she walked over to Lagatha with her injury, already dripping blood, pus and fluid. She grabbed Lagatha's chin, piercing her skin with her long nails, drawing a little amount of blood

"I would make you pay, you will watch all your children die and guess what? you won't be able to do anything about it and after that. I would put you to rest, myself" she smiled

"I promise" she said in a whisper.

Agatha walked around in a circular motion with a grin on her face. Lagatha had never for once in her life feel threatened but her she was, shaking out of fear. She knew that she herself was fierce and ruthless but Agatha was way more heartless and wicked than she could ever be. It was almost as if, she became worse as a result of been trapped in the after world for a very long time

Lagatha blinked rapidly, finally being able to open her eyes. She looked around and relief flooded through her the moment she found out that she was in her room. That was a dream, a really crazy one but she knew that Agatha being there was a no joke matter. Now she knew that it wasn't a joke that she couldn't ignore. She had earlier began to feel Agatha's spirit. She had always had a feeling that Agatha was trying to come back but this dream really confirmed her suspicions. She sat up from her bed, wiping the sweat from her fore head. Her pillow was already drenched in sweat and her heat beat was so loud and fast. Her worst fear was coming to pass and it was Agatha, coming back to life. If she does, she would surely get her revenge and a hyran filled with wrath, can never be tamed. She needed to find a way to stop Agatha from getting back to life even if she had to meet with mephistopheles. She didn't mind making deals with him, as long as it could get Agatha to remain dead and trapped for eternity. She slipped out of her bed and made her way out of her room. She needed a drink to calm her nerves down because her head wasn't hers anymore as different thought kept flooding in. 

She grabbed a tequilla from the drink stand and plunged it into her mouth without even minding for a cup. A cup was the least item she would ever think of at the moment. She withdrew it and squinted her eyes, as a result of the hotness she felt at the back of her throat, afterwards. She needed it, she needed something to energize her. It soothed a part of her but it wasn't enough. She needed to put an end to it rather than drinking her way out of it. She tapped her fingers nervously on the glass, racking her brain for a possible solution but she was too tensed to even think. She would have to mephistopheles as there was no other way to go around this and she would also need to talk to adriel about it too.

"Any news?" Javier paced nervously in the sitting room with Bella, slouching on the couch 

"The pendant can help" Bella shrugged, She wasn't sure but she had a feeling  that it could work. It was the shiel pendant for crying out loud. It could do almost everything

"It can?" Javier snapped his head to her direction 

"Yes, I cannot assure you but right now we have ran out of any option. We might as well try"

"What if it doesn't work?" Javier asked in worry. 

"I have never used it before. The shiel pendant requires strong magic to be operated " He added

"If it doesn't work, then you you will have to meet with mephistopheles. And I know you wouldn't want to do that"

"I don't care about the consequence, as long as I get Hattie out of there"

"I have never seen you so desperate and determined before. This girl surely has an effect on you" Bella remarked 

"Do you have the pendant?" Bella asked

"Yea I got it from Daphne when she proved stubborn towards handing it over."

"Speaking of Daphne, how is she?. She must have been taking it hard, her friend is being held hostage"

" she has currently been on my neck lately, calling me stop. The police aren't giving her what she wants so I'm more like her last resort"

"Poor girl. She must be so clueless for her to even involve the police. They can't do anything about it"

"With time, they would call off the case if they aren't getting any leads"

"Most definitely" Bella rolled her eyes

"Mum is in Chicago?" Javier blurted out. He noticed how Bella snapped her head towards him in surprise at the news. She squinted her eyes in confusion to ensure if she had heard him correctly.

"What?" She asked. Javier understood the cause of her confusion because. Anne wasn't planning on coming over Chicago. There was no way one could convince her on staying in Chicago. She would refuse bluntly without even giving it a second thought. All of a sudden, she was here in Chicago

"She came voluntarily?" Bella asked 

"No Lagatha's doing" Javier stated 

"She threatened her and told her to pass a message to me. About the contract with Harry" 

"What do you mean by that?" Bella glared at Javier and Javier knew that he wasn't going to hear the end of it about how it was his fault and all

"Lagatha appeared to mother"

"And who's fault is that?" Bella half yelled, looking at him with disdain 

"Don't start" Javier stated 

"Start what. Lagatha attacked my mother because of you and you are so cool about it"

"She is my mother too"

"Then act like it and terminate the contract"

"Why would I?"

"Because if anything happens to mother I would never forgive you"

"Why can't you listen to me for once. I already told you why I can't terminate the contract"

"Mother already now knows too much. She might have an increased blood pressure. Lagatha would always want to inflict fear on her victim so she must have told her that she was a supernatural being"

"She didn't. She just told her that she was who I was. Well I manipulated mother into forgetting about The whole thing and now she is on about going back to California. I would have to manipulate her again"

"That Lagatha devil really crossed the line this time. She shouldn't have brought Anne into this. What will you do?"

"First i would keep mother here in California, ensure she is out of Lagatha's reach, before I would finally strike"

"I'm sure she only wants to go over to California because of felix"

"Sadly we would have to bring him here"

"Do we really have to?" Javier groaned in exhaustion

"I don't understand your beef with this fellow" Bella stood hands akimbo.

"I just wish mother would be with someone of her age, rather than felix. With time, they might bloody think of making it official and then I would refer to him as father"

"No one is going to force you to. As long as the relationship makes her happy, I have no objections to it"

" I have alot"

"Its not like you can do anything about it?" Bella snickered at his childishnes

"Anyways, we would start the process when you get the pendant" Bella added

"It would be here tomorow. I just need to get her out of there"

"We would. Andrew is too heartless and leaving Hattie is in is hands is just like leaving her to die. What about her sister?"

"Fay?" Javier asked clearly not thinking straight 

"She is still being held hostage"

"Do you think she might be dead?"

"I doubt that, Lagatha hasn't found the pendant and I have a feeling that she has already found out about Hattie being Fay's half sister. So she might know that Hattie has it. But I doubt if she knows about Andrew keeping her hostage"

"How would you know?"

"Logics" 

"If you are able to find Hattie what would be your next move?" Bella asked

"I would get Fay also and end the Cartels"

"Do you have any plans for her?" 

"Hattie?" He asked and Bella nodded

"I don't know" truth was that, he didn't really know what would happen if he finally gets Hattie out of Andrew's hands. Would she forgive him for what he did to her? or she would go her way. Even if she forgives him, he didn't know his plans for her. He convinced himself that he loved her but he didn't know what would come after. It was kind of confusing

"You aren't planning on marrying her, are you?" Bella snapped. Javier could see the worried look in his eyes.

"Why would you say that?"

"Because there is no doubt that you love this girl. I have no idea how it is possible but one thing is sure, you can't have anything more to do with her"

"I will see about that. The most important thing is to bring her out of there. Then any other thing can follow."

"There is nothing else that could follow, you need to get that right" Bella stood with her folded arms under her breast
