Anna watched as Andrew dressed up to leave, again, he was no longer a home person, he no longer wanted to have her around and spend time with her, he no longer cared if she was crying all the time or not, he was only interested in himself, he was doing things he probably loved to do, he wasn't the man she married.
She looked at him as he walked out if the room. After two years of marriage she was still very timid around him, she couldn't even look him in the eye to talk to him, she was still seeing him as a big brother not a husband. He was changing too much for her liking and soon enough he might start abusing her by beating her always. He even slapped her once when she was pregnant.
Anna wanted to tell her parents about what was happening but they were always full of praises for him, they had only nice things to say about him and always made her feel like an Ingrate whenever she tries to complain.
She wondered how possible it was that even her own mother couldn't see that she wasn't happy, she was her only daughter, yet she was too blinded by wealth that she couldn't see what was going on.
Andrew comes home drunk always, she had tried to ask him what was wrong but he only gets angry and yells at her, she usually runs off to her room to avoid any form of brutality from him. Something seemed to be eating him up but she couldn't place her hands on it, he was just too far away from reach.
"Why are you treating me like this?
She had asked him many times but the way he always looks at her only tells her that she had no right to question him. He was the wealthy one, she was a no body, her parents had practically sold her to him, her brother's had given her away without any warning if any kind, they didn't even bother telling him to take care of her, they just assumed she would be well cared for.
Anna was happy for her mother inlaw, she was everything one could ask for in a mother, she could see right through her, she knew she wasn't happy, she was suffering from inside of her, she couldn't explain the reason for her son's recent behavior. Her son had been overwhelmed with love for the girl when he had brought her to the house for introduction, he wanted everybody of her and could see how much her son loved the girl but what changed suddenly was still a shock to her.
Amanda was stroking her child trying to make her sleep when she heard the knock on the door, she almost jumped out of her self, if only that was possible, she wanted to throw the baby away and run out, she was so scared of the man she was once crazy about and was still crazy about. She laid her baby sunshine to sleep and quietly walked out of the room and there he was again, drunk as usual, avoiding her as always. This was not what she bargained for, she didn't see this side of him else she wouldn't have married him, she fell on her knees and started crying.
