Joseph was still talking on the phone with Anna when he heard a knock on the door and before he could tell the person to come in he saw the door open. It was Andrew.
He was supposed to get back to him, he was supposed to return all his calls but instead he was busy calling Anna.
Now that he was standing in front of him. Though he has not said a word, Joseph felt scared he didn't know what to say because he knows that he had wronged him in different ways.
"Oh, Mr Andrew please common in"
Andrew walked in and shot the door.
His gaze not leaving Joseph's.
Joseph was worried because he thought he had found out about what happened somehow. He became really worried and didn't know what to say or do next.
"Look I am sorry I didn't take nor return your call. You know how it is with work at the hospital"
He wanted to continue but Andrew didn't seem to be buying it. His arms were still folded against his chest. His anger could be felt.
"I know I was supposed to get back to you but I was not even in town I had an emergency surgery outside the town.
It was a group work so we were all invited"
That one seemed to work a little because his expression changed and he moved in to take a seat but his arms were still folded even while sitting down.
"Where did you take my wife?
Andrew could only suspected that he knew where Anna spent the night, but he didn't want to ask him like a question, he wanted to just put it to him that he had something to do with her movement since he was the only one that initially knew about his health issue.
"Did she say I took her anywhere?
Joseph was trying to play smart. Answering him directly just as his question comes could land him into trouble. It was better he plays the word trick with him.
"I am not going to ask you again, I will ask you only once, if you play with me before answering, we will take this play to the field.
Doctor Joseph where did you take my wife?
Now Joseph couldn't lie. He could see just how serious he was and he was not sure what he had discussed with his wife so lieing would not do him any good. He swallowed hard and replayed his thought in his mind before opening his mouth.
Andrew was happy he could still scare Joseph.
He only acted like he had something up his sleave only to get him to talk.
Andrew wanted to know more about what Anna heard from him and how he should expect her to react.
She had been crying incessantly since she came back. If she did stop crying, she would be lost in her own thought. He just wanted to know.
"Well Mr Andrew I do not appreciate you coming to threaten me in my own office"
Andrew's suspicion was confirmed. Joseph had something to hide. He seemed to have done more than he asked him to do for him.
"I see you don't want to talk.
If I step out of this place you won't have the chance again to tell me what you want to say"
Joseph could not tell why he was so scared, but surely a conscience that is not clear is always scared.
A guilty conscience fears all accusations. Even the nature's sound.
"I did what you asked me to do. You asked me to talk to her I did. I spoke to her about your health issues.
Andrew came back to his seat. Now his hands were on the table no longer on his chest and he seemed to be really interested to hear.
But then he stopped and Andrew had to urge him to continue.
" And then?
And then she broke down. It was out of control. I could not console her, I could not even take back what I told her, she wanted to run away. She was scared. So I took her somewhere to stay before I could contact you to tell you about it, the hospital at Hill town called me and I had to go.
Andrew now knew Anna was with Joseph and he grew with Jealousy. He had only told Joseph to tell her about his health condition because he understood it better and he had been a family friend always caring for his daughter Angel.
Though Andrew have never had a reason to suspect him, his jealousy grew to know that his wife had spent a whole night in the company of another man.
"Where did you take my wife?
Now his eyes turned red. He was getting angrier. He was scared if the thought he was having.
"I took her to my family house and Liverpool island. It is a green house. An old one that belonged to my great grand parents"
Andrew tried to get up to talk but he sat down back in his seat. His next question was even scaring him. He really wish he wouldn't have to ask but he still asked anyway just to out his mind at ease.
"Did you touch my wife?
Joseph could tell from the question that he doesn't know yet and he was not going to spill the truth just yet. Though he wished he could just tell him the truth and maybe that would make him get angry and leave her but he changed his mind.
"Touch her how?
Andrew hates it when he asks him question with question, he stood up in his full form and his biceps could be seen, his muscles could be seen. His jaw clenn he's and he made a fist. He slammed it on the table and Joseph shook that his glasses moved from it's position.
He looked at Andrew and tried not to shake in fear but he asked the expected question.
"Did you fuck my wife?
