Chapter 56

All heads turned.

They could not believe that the baby of the house would bring a girl home to them.

Though in most of their celebrations that had asked and wished he could just bring someone home and also settle down but still he was always giving excuses as to why he needed to stay the way he was and why he couldn't bring any girl. But he had brought a girl to a meeting instead.

"Little brother, you have grown so big!

Miles hated being addressed as little. He was an adult and they keep addressing him as little even in front of a girl.

"You saw me last week bro, why acting up?

"Sure I saw you last week but from last week to this time you have really grown and added so much. Mum is really taking care of you"

Peter said as he smiled at him.

Now he had to explain that he was still living in the house with his parents and was still fed by them.

Paul soon joined in the fun as he sensed what his twin brother was doing.

Miles was already growing in anger as the girl felt really shy.

She bowed her head to everyone available and smiled even when nothing was funny.

No one responded to her smile not her greetings.

Anna was more surprised because Miles knows the reason for the meeting so why come with a girl.

Does he want the news to be all over the next day's  paper with very annoying headlines. 

It would kill Andrew.

Speaking of Andrew she had been sitting alone with his brother but there was no sign of Andrew anywhere.

Anna then remembered that he was in the house somewhere with Mr Anderson who had not been happy that his son was sick and he didn't think it was necessary to tell him.

He advised him and cancelled the both of them and was telling them how they could both live in peace and still enjoy their marriage.

He even suggested that Angel stays with him a d his wife while Anna and Andrew find a way to stay together and have a time of their own.

Lady Anderson stood up from her seat and walked towards his last son and pulled him by the hand, leaving the shy girl to stand alone.

Now she could tell that she was standing alone and all eyes was on her. 

She felt like she was standing in a podium about to give a stage performance.

Only that now her audience were not smiling and cheering her.

They were staring daggers at her.

"Is it a Christmas party?

She asked her son when they were out of sight.

"No mother"

He answered knowing why his mother was asking.

The girl wasn't his girlfriend but some girl he had found outside their gate. She couldn't knock on the door because the securities would not let her in but when he saw her, before he horned for the gate to be opened, he came down from his car to ask her why she was sitting by their gate and the girl had explained that she needed help.

He only brought her inside to get some cash from the house to give to the girl.

"Mother I know what you are asking, just that I want to give her something from my room, she would be on her way the very next minute.

Miles answered as he left his mother standing there.

And rushed to his room
