Chapter 59

After the exchange of greetings and questioning. The quarrel once again started.

The brothers could never stay without quarrelling.

Miles joined in the quarrel as he picked a side.

He would always side his brother Anthony against the twin while he would always side with Andrew against every other person.

Soon the quarrel stopped and they changed the topic to business.

"So Peter I hear you have opened a new boutique for your wife?

Asked Anthony. Who was looking for a way to annoy his brother again.

Unaware of his intentions. Peter answered him proudly.

"Well yes, you see we need more money in the family"

"Does it mean, selling of clothes is the only thing you and your wife can do?

Now the mockery in his tone was visible.

Others started laughing. Even Paul laughed too. Petranilla immediately misunderstood him to be that because she had no child of her own yet they should not be opening boutiques.

Peter stared at his brother and didn't bother answering him.

"Anna, why do you look like you have been beaten by Andrew?

Now all the brothers joined to attack her.

Peter that had been initially angry with his brother Anthony for talking badly about his business plans rushed to his seat and tapped his shoulder.

"Brother, that was exactly what Paul and I said"

Maybe he has been beating her because I hear Daddy called this meeting because of Andrew" Paul added.

"It better not be. How is that our business if Andrew is beati g his wife. They should be able to solve their issues. Peter was getting angry. Lady Anderson watched as they argue and quarrel. She still held her cane close to her incase they get out if hand and want to start a fight.

"If Andrew is beating sister in-law, I will definitely give him a taste of his medicine"

Miles added and Paul faced him.

"You are just saying that because you want Anna to continue giving you her baked cakes anytime you visit"

'but that is not true!

He defended himself.

Though Anna could bake really nice home made cake but he has a special kind of liking for her.

"Anna knows how to write. She is the only creative sister in-law I have that is why I like her"

This made the other women to gasp in anger and they started responding one after the other.

"I am creative too. Not like j want you to like me but you cannot be saying Anna is the only creative sister in-law you have" said Mirabel.

"Well I made myself up, isn't that creative?

Asked Precious.

It was now the turn of the men to watch and mock the women who had just started their argument.

"What is creative about doing makeup?

Asked Mirabel.

"Everything. If it isn't for makeup, do you know how you will look. Why do you take your time to sit and allow your stylist make you up everyday before you step out if your house?

Mirabel couldn't answer as it was true. She didn't know how to do her make up but her stylist would come to her house every morning to make her up before she would leave the house and whenever she was not coming he would have to get to the beauty shop herself.

Precious saw that she had won the argument so she didn't stress it further.

Soon everywhere was quiet as no one wanted to say anyother word.
