Chapter 182

He watched Petranilla for  a very long time, he could not hide his feelings anymore, this time, he wanted to just let her know that he knows what she has been hiding from them, and this sort of thing was going to create a real fuss. Knowing the kind of family he hails from, they were a no nonsense people.

He decided to calm down and wait to see how it will all play out.

All he would be searching for was a mistake on her path, or a chance and he would tell them everything.

Already they see him as someone who is insane, but he was going to shock them, by letting them know that he was not dumb at all.

He walked briskly, towards the area where he sees his brother's sitting. No one wanted to talk to him, they all seem busy with each other, they didnt even want to talk to him, he knew they were angry with him and the had the right to be.

Miles was busy with phone, he was also smilling while typing on his phone. Once again, he became interested, but he was going to wait to find out soon, because the fact that even Miles have no answer for him still baffles him, he was the closest to Anna.

Petranilla, was not even close to Anna at all, and she is the one to keep the secret, from all of them, including her husband.

Whenever the entire family comes together like this, they usually don't sit with their wives, but Peter have been sitting and cuddling his wife since he walked in.

He must be over the moon, but if Petranilla could keep a secret from her husband, then maybe, just maybe they need to check her very well, to know if Peter was responsible for her pregnancy.

Andrew looked around for his daughter, he could not see her anywhere, usually she would be wrapped up in Miles arm, she loves being around him, because there would always be something to give her, especially sweets. 

After he had searched the entire place, and did not find Angel, he decided to ask.

He moved to Petranilla, who had her head placed on Peter's chest.

"You did not come with Angel? 

"She is at the house, the maids and the guards were are there". She buttress, so that he doesn't feel something bad might happen to her, but his mind raced fast to the call of the other day.

What if they had planned it all, so that while he was here with his mother, Annw could get a chance to be with her daughter? He quickly made call,  for someone to keep an eye on Angel, and then he gave a command, that if they see any pregnant woman coming close to her, they should get the woman arrested.

His father sighted him, after he finished talking with the doctor, and then he called him to come.

"I sent for you earlier and all the people I asked you to call are all here, but only you decided to come when you please, are you even aware of how you are behaving these days? He asked, and then he added. Your mother is worried".

His father was whispering to him, he seem not to want to yell at him, he was his son and he loves him dearly.

He used to be the calm and calculative one, he was the one that have been placed in charge of his business, while Peter and Paul were busy making troubles and getting on limelight, he was busy making money for the family.

"You have really changed, and you did not change for good, you have changed for the worse, if you don't stop yourself now, you will regret it and it won't be funny at all.

"Dad, I have been busy with work". He tried to defend himself, but his father was quick to shun him.

"What work, have you been busy with? Maybe you should say you have been busy looking for your wife, who must be with maybe another doctor by now.

Andrew hated to be reminded, the thought alone, that his wife had slept with his friend, annoys him all the time.

"I say you have really changed, you allow a woman control you this much, you allow a woman's problem affect you so much, you have forgotten your work, even your P. A and the manager have been to the house severally to look for you, they said, you have so many unsigned documents, you are not always at your house and they had to come and look for you at my place.

He knew he was caught.

Truth be told, his manager have been calling him and all he does is tell him he would come, and he continued to procrastinate, he never went, because he was busy searching for Anna, his thought was clouded with her.

He was going to find her by all means, even if it was the last thing he did.

"Look I am sorry Dad, I I'll try and improve, you see, I have a lead on Anna, she would not be hiding for too long.

"Shut up! This time he yelled at him, and what initially felt like a father and son discussion, that was sounding more like a whisper or heart conversation, suddenly got all eyes on him.

He looked around and could tell that they were questioning him.

Even Petranilla had the same look.

"I am telling you something important  and you are talking about finding Anna. Are you insane?

That was something about his father, if he was angry, there was no way, he would keep calm, every one around him would know that he was angry.

Andrew could not move, he felt really embarrassed, not like that was the first time his father was telling at him, but when he looked around, even his P. A was there looking at him, it kind of made him shy.

She always gives him that look that says she feels sorry for him.

He finally summond all the courage he could gather and walked out to meet his manager and his P.A.

"Mr Anderson, we are very sorry for coming in like this, but it is just that, we are in the middle of something, we should have closed the contract with the United State investors, but you have been off and on. His manager said.

"Am I supposed to be there, before you close a deal? He asked, raising his voice. He probably wanted to transfer the agression on him.

No I want to understand (he continued, looking from his P.A to the manager.

Jessica looked down, she did not want to meet his eyes, even though she likes him as boss, she always feels pity for him, and she does not know why.

"It is just that the paperwork have not been completed, and you know they cannot be completed without your signatures on them. You also collected the contract on the Indian investors and you have not returned the company's copy so that we can seal the contract.

"You mean, two different investors are waiting for me? He was shocked, but he could not deny the fact that he had not been taking the business seriously, and also, he had collected the file, with the hope that they would make another copy and sign the original, but he could not even tell where the file was.

Go home, I promise, I will be at the office first thing in the morning, tell the staff, there I'll be an impromptu meeting of all the staff, I want to quickly brief them and let us see how we can move a bit faster.

Jessica smiles and clicked her hands together, she was so happy, she could hug him, she just needed everything at work to start moving the way they used to.

"Thank you sir" he heard them say in unison and watched as the both of them left.

Now it was just the Anderson family and while their mother was being attended to, Mr Anderson decided to use the opportunity to talk to his kids.

"In three days time, the election would hold, you have all seen that there has been progress so far, we have been doing all we can do and we have also received good news, I would not want us to end it bad.

This is a very trying period and the enemies must be looking for a way to attack us, we need to be ready.

You all need to also see how you can help Andrew, he is your brother, but he seem to be insane now, he is distracted, look at how his staff have to look for him here, because he would not take his call or return them, he is busy looking for Anna that doesn't want to be found.

When his father said it, Andrew looked up at Petranilla, who looked away immediately.

He was tired of pretending, he was going to let the cat out of the bag and maybe it would make his search easier.

He waited for his father to finish, before he would then tell them, what Petranilla have been hiding.

"
