Chapter 193

Joseph left the office of the doctor, after he had advised him, to be very careful, he had told him, that he could sense, there would be problem soon.

At the reception hall, Joseph vsaw Prisca and Joy. He had been so busy with getting Anna help, that he didn't even look at them, then he saw Peter and Miles, his fear increased, knowing the sort of person Peter is, always fighting.

Petranilla was sitting with his uncle, who seem oddly calm about everything, he was not even worried, that he too was a wanted man, maybe he thinks they have forgotten about him, making such a move to get Miles to the hospital was a wrong one, they would have just finished everything, and walk away, just the way they came.

He moved towards him to inform him, that Anna has delivered three babies, a girl and two boys.

Every other person around him, acted like he had spoke to them, they all wanted to go and see her.

"I need to check, if she can see you guys now, please maybe she can go in first". Joseph said, acting like a doctor who works there.

He led Petranilla to the room, when they got there, she was still asleep, and fortunately, the babies seem to have stopped crying, their food was ready, all they needed to do was cry, and Anna would wake up to give them what they need.

"Oh my God, they are so adorable". She said, as she moved closed to the tiny looking babies, she was caressing their hair, when Anna woke up from her slumber.

"Petra". She whispered, and she rushed to hug Anna, just when she heard her name.

"You made it, I am so happy". She said, and she hugged her again on the bed. Thanks to you. She said, and Petranilla, sat on the side of the bed.

Joseph was now working as a doctor.

That was what the residence doctor told him. He even had a lab coat on, just so that, he would be able to stay in the room with Anna, and not leave, till the family members, have come and gone.

Anna still looked very weak, she was happy that Joseph, was still beside her, she had been scared, that whatever brings them outside to town, he would have to go back into hiding.

That would have been really disappointing, because, he had always wanted, to be part of the birth of the kids.

Anna and Petranilla, spoke about so many things, but she was avoiding the missing Angel part,  not knowing that, it was the news, that sent her to labour in the first place.

"So he us pregnancy treating you? Anna asked, and she brushed it aside.

It's not much of a big deal, you see, Peter is over the moon, he would not let me do anything, he is always doing one thing or the other, to make me feel too comfortable, I guess he is spoiling me too much.

"Who else is outside? Anna asked.

"Peter and Miles, are outside, they are here to see you.

"And very soon, Andrew would be here". Anna added and Petranilla, tries to make her stand for herself.

"Tell him you are not going with him. His father would not push you, he won't push you, no body will push you, if you don't want to go back with  Joseph's father, then you can just go to your parents". Petranilla was suggesting to her, but she didn't even plan to stay one day, away from Joseph.

I will go back with Joseph's uncle". She said, knowing she was talking about Maxwell.

And back to what we were talking about earlier.

Enjoy it now, if Peter wants to spoil you, allow him spoil you, you deserve some spoiling.

"So my Angel is missing? She asked the question Petranilla, had thought she was able to avoid. She looked down, she didn't know how to face Anna.

This was a girl, placed under her care, she had been so carried away with her issues with Peter, that she had not been there, for Angel.

"Don't worry, it's not your fault". Anna said, responding to her guilty face.

My daughter is not missing, her father knows where she is". Anna said, and looked the other side, to where her babies were.

Petranilla was shocked, because, even she had thought of it too, but if it was true, then Andrew would not like the way she would react to it.

"How would you know that? She asked, and that was the same question, Joseph, was about to ask, but he only kept calm, trying to avoid, questioning her, so that no one starts to suspect him.

Anna understood that much, so she concentrated on Petranilla.

"Andrew is full of shit, he is insane, he has really gone mad, he can do it, just to have me out, he knew I would get the information somehow". She said, and blinked, with her mouth open. This was a way for her to prevent herself, from crying. Joseph knew she wanted to cry, he had been watching her since, that he knew, she was hurt.

He wish he could console her and cuddle her, just the way he used to do at the green house.

"Can Miles come in now? Joseph finally asked, distracting her attention, from her thought.

"Yes sure, let him come in". As Joseph, went to get Miles, Petranilla asked.

"Who is that man, he seem to care alot about you? Anna wanted to tell her, she deserves to know, but then she decided to still keep a secret, it might be too much for her to handle, all at once, and then, she might start to think about things that would be discouraging.

"Hello sister in-law". Miles and Peter walked in at the same time, but Miles was the one talking.

Peter just looked around the room, and when his eyes fell on the sleeping babies, he walked close to them, Joseph moved aside, to see what he was about to do.

"Wow, is this how they always look, on their first day? He was asking nobody in particular, and no one answered him.

They are adorable". He added, and then came back to where Anna was seated.

She was now sitting up, she could tell, that Miles was battling with himself, he didn't know what to say to her, or how to start to say what ever it was, that he wants to say.

"You look good Anna". He said, and she smiles, before she responded.

"Thanks". She didn't want to go into details, but she could not blame him for changing.

Andrew was his brother after all, and if what she did, was a slap to the face of the entire Anderson, she could only apologise for their thoughts, not what she would continue to do, because, Joseph was a man, she would never let go, no matter what. She was madly inlove with him, and if she was being truthful, she had never been as happy in her entire life.

Even though, they had been hiding, but somehow, the hide and seek relationship, was electrifying.

"I am sorry". Miles, finally said the words that have been tipping his tongue.

Peter was wondering why every one was being sober, and trying to make Anna happy, he was not cut out for all that.

"I will be waiting at the reception hall, this place is already too crowdes". Peter said, and walked away.

"I hold no grudge, against you, I am actually, very happy where I am, and I could never ask for a better m... She paused, she almost said, Man, but then that would sound complicating, so she corrected herself. I could never ask for a better place to be.

I am well treated, where I am, so u have no regrets and you need not be sorry, what I want now is to see my daughter.

Just then the babies, all seem to concour with her, they too wanted to see their older sister, because, they started crying, all at once.

Joseph brought her the first one, and the second, all at once.

Miles didn't want to look, so he excused himself, but Joseph was not leaving, he has no plans to leave her alone. He watch her make their daughter comfortable on her left breast, while the first son was made comfortable on the right breast through the hell of Petranilla, while the other one, was cuddled by Joseph.

Joseph was singing him a lullaby, and soon he was sleeping and snoring, as the two sucking started to sleep, Petranilla, helped her get comfortable, with them, by collecting her daughter from her, she tapped her back, and she belched, then she lay her down to sleep, in her crib.

And so she did the second until Joseph placed the third in her arms so that she would feed him.

The job of motherhood and fatherhood, just started for the both of them.. Joseph was enjoying the view.
