Chapter 185

Peter left Petra there, he could not handle his annoyance anymore, he went home, he didn't want to see her.

Petra faced the questioning face of Andrew.

"Why are you keeping her away from her own daughter? He asked, trying to give her an emotional blackmail.

I mean, how can you say, you love Angel, she calls you mummy, you said, she has brought so much happiness into your lives, I mean you and my brother's, and yet, she asks for her mother, every day and you cannot provide her, don't you know that is wickedness? He was asking her, but he was not the one she was interested in, she was more interested in talking with Peter.

"Andrew, you don't threaten me, I have been more than a mother to your daughter and your brother, have been more than what you could ever be to your daughter, so if you think you can give me an emotional black mail, then you think again.

I already told you, I don't know where Anna is, if I did, I would have even gone there, I would have taken Angel there, but I don't know". She said, almost in tears.

I told you already, it is a man called Max, that have been communicating with me, he seem to know a lot about her whereabout, but I don't, he does not have a define number, because he changes his number and most times, he calls with a private number, but if you don't believe me, then I cannot do anything about it".

Andrew saw that trying to get her to say more than she was saying at the time, was fruitless, so he walked away too, leaving her alone to stand all by herself outside in the cold.

Petranilla knew that, if she went back into the house, every one was going to give her cold shoulders, but she could not leave, the car she came with, her husband have driven it home, she had to remain there with all of them.

She was yet to hear what Anthony has to say, and then Paul and then Miles, they were all going to want to eat her raw.

She was still contemplating, if she should call a cab, when she heard yet another Anderson voice behind her.

"Do you really know where she is? She turned, to find Miles, she didn't need to turn to know whom the voice belonged to, but she still did, she needed to know when she was about to be attacked.

"I know she is alive, Miles, but I don't know where she is". She answered truthfully.

Last night, was the only time I spoke with her.

You cannot blame her miles, she ran away and that is very okay, if she had stayed, your brother, would have killed her". She tries to make him see reasons with her, and why she herself, didn't tell anyone.

"I don't blame her, I blame myself, for not being her friend". He said, feeling bad.

We used to be close you know,? really close, we shared almost the same passion and she is a very good cook, I know I miss her, but hearing that my brother wanted her to have an abortion, when he found out she was pregnant for Joseph, annoys me, we need to find her, because the way Andrew is going about it, he is ready to do something crazy, I am worried about my brother, but I am also worried about Anna and her babies". He concluded, and relaxed his back on one of the cars packed in the garage.

Can you help me with the number of the person that have been calling you? He asked, and she gave it to him.

"The only problem is that, since last night, after he called me and I spoke with Anna, his number have not been going".

"Let me just have it,  I will still try to reach out to him, I hope, I am able to reach him soon.

"I don't think she would want anyone to find her, she is in her eighth month, she would soon put to bed, she needs to be in a good condition".

"We all need to focus, in there's days time, we will have the election done and one part of us would relax then we can try and find her.

I promise, if he contacts me again, I will let you know, even if I don't let your brother know about it, and that is because of the way you sound, I want to believe that you are not deceiving me, because, if anything happens to Anna or her baby, I won't forgive you ever.

Andrew was watching them, he stood at a distance, he could tell that Petranilla was telling Miles something, they both looked interested in what they were saying, and then when he saw  her give him her phone to take a number, he became even more interested, now he was going to concentrate on Miles.

It was funny how it was easy to trust Miles, while it was so hard for them to trust him.

"I know you must have other engagements, but can you take me to my house? She begged, and Miles agreed with a nod of the head.

He opened the passengers seat for her and she gently got in while he got to the driver's seat and drove off.

Andrew could not hear what they were saying, but since Miles was taken her away, he thought that she was going to show Miles, where Anna was hiding, so he followed them in another car.

"So Peter is angry huh? He asked, and she answered with "mmmm" He has every right to be angry, you were not supposed to keep something like that from him, he is your husband, and to think that he adores you, knowing you have kept something like this from him, would only make him feel like he cannot trust you". He said and she listened to him speak to her some more.

"You see, marriage is not an easy thing to venture in, even relationship is crazy enough, let alone marriage.

"You sound like you have someone serious". She teased, and he only smiled, keeping his eyes on the road.

There is someone, but I don't know how mum and dad would feel if I bring her home as the one, she is from a very poor home and she has no class at a, she didn't even finish her schooling.

I have known her for sometime though, but we only started dating officially, last month, but now, I miss Anna, because, if she had been here, she would have told me what to do, o would have introduced them from the first day.

"What is her name? Petranilla asked, and he answered. Jasmine". Wow, that is such a wonderful name, I love it, if I have a baby girl, I would name her Jasmine, but Angel wants a baby boy". She said, and he chuckled.

She is also wonderful.

"The only thing I would say is, as long as you are sure of what you want, you go for it, mum and dad would understand, that you are man enough, to make your own choice, you are not some push over.

"I pray they would, you know how it is, what Andrew went through before Anna was accepted into the family, they wanted her to be from some rich home and all, Andrew had stood by her and defended her, but then this happened, with Joseph and they are already like, 'didn't we have our doubt back then' he mimicked his mother and Petranilla, had a good laugh.

"Here we are". Miles pulled over at the house and she thanked him with a peck on the cheek.

"This is the first time I am really getting to talk with you, you are indeed amazing, no wonder Anna chose you, she was so disappointed, when you could not stand for her, she wondered if your friendship was even real in the first place, but now, I know, you  were only angry, just like every one else was at first.

"I hope she would have a change of heart and forgive me, because I am really sorry.

"I am sure she will". She said and was about to walk in when he spoke.

"Peter loves you, he may not know how to show it, but he does love you, talk to him and everything would be fine". She nodded her head, and watch him drive off.

Andrew was disappointed that it wasnnotbwhatbhe had thought, he hide himself and when his brother drove past, he went through another road.

Petranilla got inside, and met Peter on the floor, drinking himself to stupor, she took the bottle from him, and he stood up and slapped her.

That was the first time he did that, no one was at home except for the maids.

Don't you ever try that again, he said and he slapped her again, she fell down and fainted.
