Chapter 142

At first I would have sadistically liked to watch as the superstar get mugged in front of me, and hope to collect a few keepsakes for myself, that jacket he was wearing looked oddly endearing I think. I smile as it practically has all my favourite colours.

Oh heck, I didn't even like the colours on it, but I'm pretty sure I would end up loving it as I knew they were from Adrian.

The excited screaming comes from the upper floors, as I look up to see a girl, probably not older than me, realising exactly who is in the store and creating the expected raucous that his presence should have created in the first place.

Her scream almost shatters the glass panels, as it practically climbs higher and higher after every passing second. I actually have to give her some credit for her dexterity though, even if the world was coming to an end, I'm not pretty sure I would have been able to scream up to that point, my voice would have simply broken up after the next few minutes of screaming, but she elicits the sort of excited squealing that snaps everyone out of their reverie.

It snaps my brother out of his fascination with the clothes as his eyes shoots to me in something of a panic, thinking maybe the scream came from me and I feel flattered by this. Do I really scream that wonderfully, but yet when his mind fully focuses on me and he realises it isn't me screaming, he starts looking around.

The moment his gaze lands on Adrian, I swear I saw something of palpable shock go through them, like shock, thorough shock went through my brother's eyes, and I almost fell down laughing at this.

Scott who's always boasted that there is nothing that could surprise him anymore in this world, is actually surprised. I'm guessing it wouldn't be making a good first impression on Adrian if I simply started laughing like a bimbo at this point.

I have kept my cool all throughout the first few minutes of him being here, I shouldn't disgrace myself like this all because my brother betrayed a look as close to fascination as fascination could possibly get.

Scott's face betrays something of a familiar glint and now, only now, do I consider all the facts in my head.

Oakley doesn't seem excited as much as she seems expectant. I wonder exactly what she expects to happen, is this what she had been planning all along, is this the big reveal that would happen about my brother?.

As long as it involves Adrian though, I'm pretty sure I want to know more about this now. I want to know exactly what is going on here, so i simply stand back and watch, as an excited crowd makes their way downstairs screaming and squealing all the same time.

The cacophony of sounds is amazing, as I'm pretty sure Alice would have never experienced such a thing in her life. I wonder where she is when something so huge is going down in her mall.
