"You seriously got the school to cancel his scholarship?" I say looking at her and she shakes her head.

"I didn't get the school to do anything, he forfeited that scholarship for all the reasons that he did. He was lazy. He was slacking off. He was doing everything he was not supposed to do. The only reason that he still kept it in the first place was because of me"

"And now you have withdrawn your influence from anything that concerns him?" I say trying to figure out if she's truly behind this.

"If he wants to do anything, then he should be responsible for his actions. His grades have dropped low ever since he became popular. He isn't sticking to studies again, he isn't doing what you supposed to do anymore, he's sleeping around and yet he still expects me to plead for him whenever his results come out"

"You have been pleading for him?" I say looking at her and she nods her head.

"My dad's friend is part of the school committee".

I nod at this. I nod at this as it is a lie or maybe not.

Still, it is very possible that it is actually at that friend who owns the school, maybe that's why he has such considerable power there but still

"Don't you think that's a bit high handed?" I say looking at her

"A scholarship of all things...??"

She shakes her head at this.

"It isn't my fault. If he wants to keep his scholarship he should work towards it. He should not expect me to still keep on pleading for him each and every time results come out while he's sleeping with my best friend"

"Is she still with him?" I say asking her and she shakes her head.

"She left him last week"

"How do you even know this?" I say amusement in my eyes and she practically shakes her phone at me.

"I have a phone, I keep abreast of each and every thing that I want to know"

I'm guessing at this is totally true because Oakley is not want to simply disregard anything that she wants to do. She could be keeping a track of each and everything that is going on in his life.

"So you are happy at your actions?" I say looking at her and she smiles at me.

"I'm not happy that he lost his scholarship. I am happy at the fact that he has finally realised that I am no more with him. I'm not going to go back to him, begging and asking him to please stop what he's doing. He is alone now, he's on his own. If he wants popularity over his education then he should be ready to pay the price" I smile.

"All these books you're reading, are you sure they're not getting to your head?" I say looking at her and she smirks.

"It is nice to read. It improves your vocabulary, you should try it sometimes"m

I stick my tongue out at her and look away.
