Chapter 53

I was actually expecting her to be in the bathroom for about an hour considering the fact that she might be playing with her beautiful tail. But instead she came out in 10 minutes and at the wrong time as well.

"Sorry if I ruined a moment" she winked. Idi*t.

"How come you bathed so quickly?" I asked her.

"Never joke with a mermaid when food is involved" Bennett chuckled out.

"I'll remember that" I giggled.

"You guys should not make me ink you" Nicky warned jokingly. "I'm going down 500 miles below sea level today, twice. So I'm gonna need all the food I can get" she added and we laughed.

I entered the bathroom. After taking my bath, I entered the closet and slipped on an orange flay short gown and a blue flip.

When I entered the room, I saw Nicky applying makeup on Bennett's face.

"What are you doing?" I asked them.

"What does it look like? I'm making him up" Nicky replied.

Bennett turned to me. Wow he looked like a girl. Such a cute boy.

"How do I look" he asked.

"You look like a girl" I replied with a smile.

"What!" He exclaimed. "I'm cleaning it" he said. He touched his face with his right palm and the makeup cleared off. I really wish I have extra ordinary powers. They both laughed.

"Yea, you guys should keep showing off, you read everything thing in mind, I get it. Now can we go" i mumbled.

"Jealous girl" they both said in unison and laughed.

"To h*ll with you two" I fired at them and walked out of the room. But when I got to the hallway, nobody asked me to wait for them.

"Miss, are you lost?" Bennett asked me with an amused smile.

"No, I was just looking around" I lied.

"Yea right, come here" he picked my hand and slipped it into his elbow.

We walked out, but instead of walking towards the west wing where I'm sure the courtyard is, we walked towards the east wing.

"Umh, this is not the way to the courtyard Bennett, or are you taking us for another house tour.

"Not 'us', I know my way around here" Nicky snapped.

"I'm not surprised fish"

"Bennett warn your girl, because I don't need Carlos to behead her for me, I can do that myself" she warned.

"Relax your tail my friend, you can't do anything" I fired back.

Bennett opened a door and we walked into a different courtyard, or is it the same courtyard, does it look different because it's morning.

"It's not the same courtyard" Bennett confirmed my suspicion.

"I thought as much"

We sat at the dining the same way we sat last night - beside the king.

After breakfast, Bennett took us outside to a deck-like bar, behind the bar laid the glassy blue sea. Wow, so this is a beach house, or perhaps a beach palace.

There were about ten yachts lying at the bank but were tied to the deck.
