It was Saturday the next day, Amanda had crawled to the other side of the bed. Though still sleepy, she still noticed that Ray was not close to her, at least he was not on the bed.
Amanda rolled off the bed, rubbing her eyes but still sleepy. She saw what the time said from the wall clock in Raymond's room.
Amanda's phone buzzed, indicating a message. She knew she had probably slept into the day but not up to past 11 AM. The time on her phone was saying the same as the wall clock too, so she knew they were correct. She received a text from Lang that said "you have been working so hard recently, you have ditched me for Raymond. Dinner and maybe karaoke later?"
"Okay." She responded back.
She immediately snapped out of her sleepiness with the thought of last night. Last night was beautiful, she had said yes to Ray and she was loving it so far. She found her tummy ticklish to the thought of how thoughtful Ray was with their date last night. How he took attention to detail and made everything perfect.
Her mind now went to the better half of their dinner. Dinner wasn't the only thing he took his time to prepare that night. Their intimacy last night was beyond imaginable and whew!! She had never felt so good during and after sex as she do with Ray, and last night topped the chart.
She sluggishly got out of the bed and to the bathroom. She stopped by the bathroom mirror, looking at her fresh out of bed face as she realized she was still in her dinner dress.
Her hair was messed you, she tried to use her hands to make it look better, but she needed more than just her hands. She took a shower before Putting the hair up, wrapped in a donut form.
She went downstairs and she met Margi who seemed excited to see her. Margi had instructed she seat for lunch as it was already a few minutes past noon. It seemed weird to her to be served, so she offered to get the food but Marga insisted she took her seat.
She returned with a tray of food.
"What about Ray?" Amanda asked.
"He went to meet up with an old friend. He didn't want to wake you." Margi said as she placed the tray before Amanda.
Just as the tray was dropped, Amanda's phone began to ring and it was Ray.
"Hello." She answered.
"You up?" She heard Ray ask.
"Yea, but not too long, she responded.
"So, I guess you had a great sleep?"
"The best I have had in a while."
"Have you had breakfast?" He asked.
"Skipped breakfast, about having lunch." She said.
"Okay, what's your plan for the day? He enquired.
"Hang out with Lang, maybe sing some karaoke." She responded.
"Okay, I will inform Scott to take you."
"I can find my way." She said.
"Yes, you can, but Scott rather takes you.
You don't have to order a taxi when Scott could simply take you."
"Yea, okay." She responded.
"Alright, I will see you later. I will be home as soon as I can." He said as Amanda noticed Margi serving her tray as well.
"Okay, see ya." She said as the call ended.
"Margi mumbled something Amanda couldn't hear before she sat just across the table from where Amanda was seating.
"Sorry, I didn't get that," Amanda said as he made her way to the dish before her.
"It's beautiful to see," Margi said again, and this time Amanda heard her.
"What is?" Amanda asked but her concentration was still on her dish.
"Conej... Oh sorry, Raymond."
Okay, now with the mention of Raymond, Margi had her undivided attention. Margi didn't have to bother about calling Ray Conejo.
"It's okay to call him Conejo even with me, you already told me what it meant.
Remember?" Amanda said as she paused from devouring her meal for a while.
"Oh, I forgot," Margi said with a little laugh. Her voice was thin and her smile was beautiful to see.
"So what is it you were saying?" Amanda asked.
"Raymond...
With you...
He had never brought a girl home in the last eight or nine years.
I'm not quite sure how long." Margi wasn't a fast talker, she talked slowly and paused in-between lines.
"He is different...
Isn't it beautiful how someone could easily change someone else?"
Even though Amanda was sure the last question was rhetorical, Margi still paused after the question. Amanda felt a little special hearing that as she also wondered who he used to bring home that many years ago.
She always felt Cassie had a special place in his life, but the know it all Cassie, the Cassie who was known to be seen everywhere with Ray didn't even get to visit his house.
So who was the person that did? She wondered. She snapped out of the thought as she heard Margi speak again.
"His whole aura is refreshed.
I use to be worried for him months and years ago because he never seemed happy. Never had anyone who brought that special joy within him.
But now, he radiates without even wearing a smile.
Because he is happy.
I guess it's thanks to you." The woman said as her gaze moved from the table to Amanda.
Amanda found Margi homely and motherly. Ray was lucky to have her.
"We are both happy, thanks to each other," Amanda responded with a heartfelt smile as she remembered how happy Ray makes her feel.
They discussed a few things as they finished their lunch.
Margi showed her around the house, she saw a few spots in the house that was just too overwhelming.
This elaborate beautiful mansion had a gym, a game and film house, a tennis court, a pool house, and very large walkways. But the one she was most fascinated about was the aquarium. A whole fucking aquarium was in this mansion! That would definitely become her favorite spot. She saw a variety of fishes and she wondered how all this is maintained.
"Who takes care of these beauties?" She asked in astonishment.
"You will meet him. Hopefully.
His name is Fredi, he left not long ago." Margi responded.
Amanda was almost too excited about these cute little fishes for someone who love sea foods to almost a disturbing extent. They left the aquarium to another of her favorite part of the house.
The pool house!
The pool was just after the pool house, the whole outlet looked fancy. This whole mansion was unreal. She always knew Raymond took attention to details, but the detailing of this mansion was beyond belief.
The pool was shaped as three large interwoven circles, forming a very unperfect triangular shape.
Impeccable!
She later retired to Raymond's room, she sent a text to lang asking about the time for their hang out. Lang had responded almost immediately.
"5:30 PM, don't be late.
You don't have two boys to take care of."
"Lol, noted." She replied back.
It was still 3 pm, so she had a little time to herself. After some time, Margi came with some new feminine clothes she got from one of the rooms.
She said they have been there for a while and have never been worn. They checked it out and it was from the room she could well identify. The room she was supposed to sleep in the first night she came there. The clothes there had tags, signifying new and probably ever worn, but as Margi said, they have been there for a while, now musty and perhaps collected some dust.
Margi offered to take some and put them in a good shape to return to her. Which she was grateful she had offered.
"Thank you," she said as she was handed the clothes which now smelled very different.
"You are welcome," Margi said before she left.
It was now 4: pm, Amanda was ready to have her bath, she wrapped herself with the towel from the bathroom as she went into Ray's closet to check to find a plastic cap for her hair.
She doubted if she would see, but she hoped to maybe get an alternative.
She went into the big closet as she went to the side that had accessories like socks and ties.
The huge long shelf would always mesmerize her as they stood so tall. She went to the chamber that looked like she could find maybe a handkerchief so she could wrap her hair with them.
Yes, she found them, they were all new and seemed unused so she tried reaching out to get one out.
This particular section of the shelf was designed to be open, it didn't have a lid to shut it with.
Pulling the handkerchief, she didn't notice a medium-sized paper box on it. The box had fallen over, leaving it open with some pieces of papers and probably documents falling off.
She picked it up, noticing it was just some old pictures and handwritten letters, that seemed a little aged too.
She saw a picture of a girl...
