Lanre and Ify are roommates and students of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu state. While Lanre is a beautiful light skin girl from the city of Ibadan, Ify whose full name is Ifeoma is dark skinned from the coal city, Enugu and both are undergraduates studying Mass communication and are in their final year. 
Unlike Ify, Lanre is the wild type who has her eyes for extremely flashy things, so when a guy approached her and asked her to marry her, she thought he wanted to hinder her from leaving life to the fullest until she realised he was the governor's son and wanted him for herself. But he was already engaged to Ify. What price is Lanre willing to pay to marry the "Governor's Son"?

The Governor's Son Is Mine

“Na where madam de go?” One of the girls who worked in Lanre’s beauty parlour asked. Her name was Sharon. Chidinma told her she had no clue. Then she took a seat.

“Miss Lanre never says anything about her movements to anyone, you know that. Why are you asking the poor girl ni?” A young man asked. He was wearing an apron. Just then a young lady entered into the beauty parlour. Her dress was quite expensive. Even her shoes were screaming “rich”.

“Welcome Ma! This is LAN’s Beauty Parlour! How may we help you?” It was the young man who spoke. He seemed to have been smitten by the young woman who just got in. More because she was new to the beauty parlour. He has been seeing a lot of rich ladies and some make celebrities who want to do some pedicure and manicure come to their beauty parlour.

“Is Miss Lanre in?” The young lady who had just come in asked. The young man told her his madam has gone out.

“I wonder what Lanre is thinking opening a beauty parlour when she is yet to go for service or even do her masters?” The young lady said. The young lady is none other than Ify. She asked for a seat and was offered one. Then she sat down crossing her legs. She looked round the beauty parlour with her eyes.

“Your boss is my friend! I came for a surprise visit”. Ify said to them with a smile lining her lips. Chidinma looked at Ify begrudgingly as though she had known Ify in the past and Ify was a villain to her.

“My madam is not coming anytime soon. She went far away. She would send me if the place she went was close by. But it is far from here, and she won’t be coming until it evening”. Chidinma said to Ify. She wanted Ify to leave as she was not feeling comfortable. She had no clue of Lanre will actually take long, or if Lanre will come soon.

Ify frowned. Then she stood up and asked the young man what his name was. He told her his name’s Aaron. Ify smiled at him and asked him to help her relay the message to Lanre, “her friend was here. Ifeoma Ochuzi”. Ify said before leaving. She didn’t want to talk to the young lady, Chidinma who told her Lanre will not be back soon. She felt Chidinma sounded quite rude. One could tell that Chidinma was only a teenager. Ify hates it when someone she is way older than talks to her with disrespect.

“Why did you talk to her like that ehn? You are not even sure when madam will come back because I am sure she did not tell you were she was going to”. Sharon said to Chidinma. Chidinma rolled her eyes at Sharon and went to sit down. Whereas Sharon charged towards her wanting to hit her for rolling her eyes at her.
