Lanre and Ify are roommates and students of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu state. While Lanre is a beautiful light skin girl from the city of Ibadan, Ify whose full name is Ifeoma is dark skinned from the coal city, Enugu and both are undergraduates studying Mass communication and are in their final year. 
Unlike Ify, Lanre is the wild type who has her eyes for extremely flashy things, so when a guy approached her and asked her to marry her, she thought he wanted to hinder her from leaving life to the fullest until she realised he was the governor's son and wanted him for herself. But he was already engaged to Ify. What price is Lanre willing to pay to marry the "Governor's Son"?

The Governor's Son Is Mine

After K had taken the bag and left, Christian bit his lips so hard causing his lips to bleed. It pained him so much that K still acts this way. He thought since he was already jealous, he would decide to let Ify go. He wondered what exactly was wrong with him. Then he decided to put a call through to the Governor and ask him to intervene.

He dials the Governor’s personal line. Immediately he got connected with the governor, he first paid his respect over the phone. Then he informed the governor about what happened. The Governor felt happy with the news. He immediately instructed Christian to go on with the act of making K jealous.

Christian wondered why the Governor actually wanted K to be with Lanre seeing that she was not even of a wealthy background. She does not belong with the elites in the society. But then, he could not ask him why he was keen on making K get back with Lanre.

“Sir, at this point, I think it will be better you make him understand that he can choose whosoever he wants. He is still afraid you will hurt her”. Christian said to the Governor who only laughed. He told Christian to just act his part. He wanted to know what decision his son would make when faced with risk. He would not want to make it seem like it was easy choosing the woman he would spend the rest of his life with.

Christian tried to persuade the Governor, but he refused. Then he yelled at Christian calling his name with much authority.

“Your Excellency!” Christian said. The Governor scolded him telling him that this was the reason he yelled. He tells Christian to stop addressing him formally unless they were in a formal setting. Christian should always call him “uncle”. He warned Christian this was going to be the last time he reminds him. Then he hung up the phone.

Christian sighed. He either gets rid of Lanre and let K have her now, or he continues with what seems like an “act”, and find it difficult letting go of Lanre. If he falls too deeply for her, then he may end up being selfish.

“But what do I like about her? She no fat? She’s not even busty. She is not my type of girl!” Christian said. But then he could not help but admit that she’s beautiful. And her beauty sure did got Kehinde hooked.

He decided to go finish up with cleaning the mess on the floor. After which, he went upstairs to his room. He took out new pair of clothes and then took off the one he was wearing. He took a towel and went to take his bath. He has a meeting to attend in the next two hours. Immediately he was done, he left the house with a briefcase in hand. He got into his car and zoomed off. If Lanre had stayed behind, he would have dropped her off before going for this meeting.
