Lanre and Ify are roommates and students of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu state. While Lanre is a beautiful light skin girl from the city of Ibadan, Ify whose full name is Ifeoma is dark skinned from the coal city, Enugu and both are undergraduates studying Mass communication and are in their final year. 
Unlike Ify, Lanre is the wild type who has her eyes for extremely flashy things, so when a guy approached her and asked her to marry her, she thought he wanted to hinder her from leaving life to the fullest until she realised he was the governor's son and wanted him for herself. But he was already engaged to Ify. What price is Lanre willing to pay to marry the "Governor's Son"?

The Governor's Son Is Mine

Lanre scoffs. She turned to look at K. “You sure do know you are not the right person for me to talk to. You barely know me back then, and even now, you still do not know me. You obviously won’t understand how I feel”. Lanre said. K wondered if her mood has anything to do with him. But before he could say anything Lanre stood up with her bag in her hand and walked out of the office. He went after her. Just what Lanre wanted. She locked the office immediately he got out. Then she told Chidinma to follow her. The others were busy cleaning the shop before they will leave except for Aisha and Muyiwa who already left. Both of them make the workers six in number.

“Ma please don’t forget to call actress Timitola concerning the new contract”. Sharon said as was walking out of the shop. Lanre mentally face palm herself. It seems they would need time to adjust to calling her by her name instead of ma of madam.

Lanre told Sharon she won’t forget. She left with Chidinma following her. While K did same like he had no other choice.

“Sharon, na wetin de happen (Sharon, what is going on)? I think say na oga Christian be madam boyfriend, who be this one again na( I thought Mr. Christian is Madam’s boyfriend, who is this other man)?” Uduak said immediately after the trio had gone out. Sharon eyes Uduak disapprovingly.

“So it is now a bad thing for a woman to have male friends. See me, I am no longer interested in gossiping. Especially not with somebody like you. One day you fit gossip me (one day you may end up gossiping about me)”. Sharon said to Uduak and focused her attention back at mobbing the floor. Uduak hissed and carried on in dry mopping the parts Sharon already mopped.

Meanwhile Aaron just shook his head at them. “The both of you sure have a skill for broadcasting and journalism, it remains professionalism to make you both one. You better stop all this nonsense o. Stop talking about what madam is doing and not doing. Stop trying to find out who is her boyfriend and who is not. Think of the fact that she is nice and take her that way. Every other thing that does not concern your work in this beauty parlour should remain outside. Thank you!” Aaron said to them.

Uduak and Sharon burst into laughter at the same time. “Look at this one! Who are you calling gossip?” Sharon asked. Aaron told her he had not used that word on her. Sharon said what he had just said mockingly. Then she told him that since he was good at minding his business he should have just go on and ignored them.

“Besides, I did not say anything about madam. It’s Uduak that is looking for who will gossip with her, so mind what you say and who you say it to”. Sharon warned. Aaron raised both hands up as a sign of surrender.
