“Thanks to you! I never thought I would be getting a car soon. This is great generosity”. Lanre said to Christian you was glad he is the reason behind her smiles and enthusiasm. At least he has done something to make her genuinely happy. He was hoping to do more.
“Why didn’t you tell him you are not friends with her anymore and you did not help her make her decision?” Christian asked her. She shook her head.
“Abeg, no be everybody need explanation. You can tell everyone everything, some people are best left in the dark”. Lanre said to him. He agreed to her view. Then he asked her if she would love to drive her car herself or if she would need a driver to be driving her wherever she wills.
“I will drive myself! I just need to go to driving school, get my driver’s license and boom, I start driving”. Lanre said. Christian nods his head. But he told her she would need a driver to drive her before she gets her driver’s license. She shook her head refusing. She told him she did not want a driver. She wanted to be the first person to drive the car.
“But you can’t drive na”. Christian said to her. She remained stark on her decision on not getting a driver. Christian asked her if she would continue taking Uber until she has learnt how to drive and has gotten her driver’s license since she has refused getting a driver.
“I have no choice”. She said. Christian offered to teach her how to drive and then help her work out the driver’s license as well. She shook her head.
“You have done so much already! I will take it from here”. She said stepping out of the car as they finally arrived their destination. Christian got out of the car as well and the both of them walked into MT. They sat at a table.
“What would you like me to order for you?” Christian asked her. She told him jollof rice would do.
“And please, one plate of ice-cream not drink”. Lanre said. Christian told her he would order the ice-cream after they were done eating and that she should tell him what drink to order for her. Lanre frowns. She tells him she wants the rice in a takeaway. But she was only eating ice-cream at the eatery. This Christian refused and the two started arguing.
“How are we even friends if you won’t agree with me on what I want?” Lanre said.
“Cause I’m your personal doctor, I know what’s best for you”. He replied. Lanre asked him what he was saying but disinterestedly. She told him she did not want her rice to be much and he could get her any drink as long as it’s not coca cola or any of its kind. Christian asked if she would prefer juice, she nods affirmatively. He walked off to the canter to place an order for the both of them while Lanre remained seated.
